People still put pinstripes on cars?

I had no idea.

A long time ago, I used to work for a guy that put pinstripes, wheel lip moldings, and door edge guards on cars. He charged them $12/car (US) and they charged $129 for each of those three items.

The dealer I got the car from didn't have a cg/quartz no navi on the lot so they got one from a nearby dealer. The car had the pinstripe when it arrived. To each his own I guess but I kinda like it.

How much was it?

When I bought my Gen5 Prelude, it came with a painted-on pinstrip. I had the dealer get the painter to come back and remove the pinstrip.

The pinstripe is tape, not paint and it was a freebee. Like I said before, they had to get the car from another dealer and it had the pinstripe already on it when it arrived. Even my salesman was surprised to see it.

Not bad at all! The little logo is cool too!

However, I gave up on pinstripes a couple of cars ago b/c they age (rub off w/wax, etc). Just another thing to go wrong.

Sorry...I know to each his own, but that just looks fugly on a trendy design like the TSX...breaks up the clean lines. Since it's taped it might be easy to remove...but hey if you like it...it sets your TSX apart from the thousands of us out there without it.

My fiancee's CG Accord is less than 4 months old and the pinstripe started comming off! So she took it in and they put globbs of clear coat on the ends after cutting it with a knife or something.

There are marks at least in the clearcoat from the cutting and clear coat snot globbs on the ends. it is so bad!

it's a lot better looking than the stupid purple pinstripe i had on my black integra gs-r haha, that was pretty gay...i dunno who would pay to put a pinstripe on a car like that, let alone a purple one....blah

once again mine came with pinstripes on nighthawk black. I think on the dark colors the stripe put on does look real good. In fact it adds a lot to the tsx. without it, I have seen the car and it just adds something to the car. By the way black is by far the best looking tsx color with carbon grey second. Most of the other colors don't look real sharp and the tsx looks like an everyday ordinary car in these other colors. will always get black- no color can match its sharpness if wax frequently.
