Picture request, 06 TSX Aspec Suspension w/ 18's

Hey guys,

As some of you know i have traded in my 04 5AT TSX for a brand new 06 TSX and am in the process of breaking it. I had the Tein Basics on it but i'm really considering selling them and getting the Aspec suspension because i really want to stay close to stock suspension feeling (long story but becauase of the accident i'm staying away from heavily modding this one away from factory). I have the Ron Jon Servo's i will be putting on but i know i need to do something about lowering it and wanted to see what 18's look like on an A spec suspension 1" drop. I searched and found one but the pics don't work anymore. If anyway has any or maybe knows of any in the wheel gallery that are riding on Aspecs i would appreciate it! Thanks in advance guys

well, here is a pic of my car with a-spec and 17"s. I absolutely LOVE the suspenison, handles awsome but still rides pretty good. sorry for the dark picture, but there is still some wheel gap, so I think 18"s would be perfect. one thing thats a lil weird which i think is common with the a-spec, is the backl end seemed to be a little more lowered than the front.

No big deal, i still gikve the a-spec a

Thanks for the pic! See your statement about you thinking the 18's would fit great it was i was thinking but i really want to see it first! I have found a bunch of A spec's with 17's on, but not 18's. Some one has to have a spec with 18's on here!?!?!

n8dog82 - Do you have a camber kit on your TSX too?

h1coupe - I'm not sure yet, still trying to figure out what i want to do, but the odds are that i am going to sell it! They only have about 4500 miles on them, so they are is great shape!

I think i am going to go this route, i just want to make sure that with the mild drop the 18's won't look silly...... :/

no camber kit, i had some problems with the tow in the rear (nothing to do with the a-spec) so i have had a few alignments done, and the camber was always fine.

what kind of wheels you thinking of getting?

I already have a set of Ron Jon Servo's that i bought for my old TSX and want to put them on the new one but don't want it to look dumb, hence i'm looking for an A-spec TSX with 18's on it but can't seem to find one....I think Kenny had it at one point but has since switched.

What my new 06 ASM is good enough for you EuRTSX??? lol

well, this is gonna sound stupid, but I dont think I have any more pictures of my car with the silverstars. ive only had them for a year now . they are off for the winter, so maybe in the spring when the snow melts (and i get new tires) i will post up some pics.

I wouldnt want to threadjack jwood anyways.

Yeah, you don't need a camber kit with the A-Spec suspension. Your car looks good. I like the wheels.

Thanks Kenny, you were one of the two that i found actually! I think it looks good enough for me to go ahead with it. I don't even need a body kit on the 06 and i think i can pull it off.

Did you look at the old threads with the guy that has 18" A spec's on his stock '04? I think it looked ok.... not sure where that thread is anymore, but perhaps search for 18" TL Aspec or something...

Yeah, no problem man.

Here's a couple more that appeared in some of my other threads but probably wouldn't show up in a search for aspec. With some of my pics you can see the gap more than others. The angles make a big difference.

One of my favorite pics with the Aspec drop (You guys have probably seen this a millions times haha):

Dude, that is great, the exact angle i was looking for! Thanks a lot kenny Although i wish it would go about .5" lower, that will work for me. The road around me aren't that great and i go over railroad tracks twice a day and don't even drive that much and the Basics got too stiff for me after a while. Now all i need to do is take some pics of my Tein Basics and post them in the black market.

ianS - That helps a lot too, thanks!

Vthree - The tires you usually get for 18's (225/40 or 235/40) are smaller in profile and actually end up having close to the same diameter (check out the sticky in the wheels section) however, the type of wheel can def make the wheel gap look smaller or bigger.

OEM 17x7 Acura Silverstars. To my knowledge, they're discontinued because they're not in the 2007 TSX Accessories section anymore.

This is kind of raising the dead but I am installing A-Spec suspension this weekend on my CGP and your car looks absolutely perfect here. Would you mind sharing the wheel size + offset of those? I believe they are Kruzer X's? I just love the look you've got going there.
