lol @ proof! You HAVE been waiting a while...

loxllxol,
Thanks again. I cant believe I've seen a couple TSXs with that nasty-ass "raven kit" with the fangs... ugliest most non-functional kit ever.
Yes it is genuine Kenstyle, has the badge glassed-in to the inner fiberglass. You can order pieces through the japanese site if you have a good hook up. For some reason the US version site only offers full kits. I'm good with the Signal Auto crew and they hook it up. $1200 for front end, hood and trunk and Fiber Images is not cheap...

I was scratching my head for a long while just to figure out how I wanted to expose the CF on the hood and deck lid. Keep in mind I had this done before the Autorocks(?) on Spike TV had a similar scheme on a RSX and before that new Si concept was shown. I was wondering if they bit my style! lol

I dont have the Kenstyle badge on my grille tho', they wanted $70 not including shipping. I just slapped a perfectly fitting Signal sticker on the "badge plate" on the grill. I don't mind representing my shop... just nothing too big.

drunkenbuda & BlackAc036
Thanks alot, it greatly reduced nose dive under braking not to mention I tastefull carbon fiber.
Funny thing is, on my trunk I had to disable one of the springs that opens the trunk. With both enabled, you could launch a soda can like a catapult when you popped that thing or break a jaw. Even with just one enabled, it flies open. I was even contemplating disabling both springs altogether, but I just use the key fob and catch it before it opens completely...
Thanks again...

As you know the StopTech owner, have they indicated to you why the rear kit is over $3K?

Last I checked, the $3k was for both fron and rear. The rear costs just over $1400 MSRP I believe...

I wish! The total set is $5k. The rears alone are $3k. Reason is the brake bracket design incorporates two calipers. That's the only kit out there that has a seperate hand brake caliper. Hell, I think that may be the only rear BBK out there for the TSX.

Hmmmm, I could've sworn it was posted for like $14000-$1495. Funny thing is, they used my car for the rear parts fitment and for the installation manual. I just checked and you're right! Wow!

Looks like I'll be getting my Supercharger before I get my rears done, even with the discount they hook up...

I will eventually, I already had the Catz and those raybrigs are fuggin expensive. It's in the works, but I also like the way the Catz match the headlight and turn signal projectors. I need my header atleast, before I throw down $300+ on more fog lights...

I love Catz on my 94 accord for 6 years, it is best brand and last longer. Your Catz looked great on your TSX!

Minus HID's and/or Raybrigs... Catz are the only foglights I'll purchase... Look nice, bright, and last very loooooong.

lol... not exactly a sleeper, especially from the front. Yeah, I thought leaving all the CF raw was too tacky. I wanted to leave some of it raw but not too much. At certain angles, especially at night, or in bright light you cant really notice the top of the deck lid is raw CF.

Now... All I need is a CF roof... lol j/k... or am I...

Thanks BTW!

Thanks! Yeah, I was scratching my head for a while thinking about how I wanted the raw CF to show, I figured flowing up and out from the grill would be the best way...

You're the first guy I've seen who actually takes the time (and has the taste) to paint the CF parts. I'd love to get a CF hood and trunk lid for my car but if I do I am definitely going to paint them to look OEM. First because I think raw CF looks tacky as seven different kinds of hell and second because I don't want every kid with a fart pipe on his Civic thinking I'll race him.

Sleeper look =

Thanks, but I dunno, I like the way the 3D weave looks, just not the "blackness" you see from a distance. I was even thinking of mixing clear coat and silver together and spraying a light layer over the CF, so it would show, but not from a distance. I hear ya' about everyone trying to race tho'...
Sometimes they'll just roll next to me and downshift, I guess waiting for me to do the same...

Nice I am not fond of 4 fogs but to each his own. Other than that i like your ride. Hey how much was the trunk? And do you know anyone that makes a CF hood that doesnt need the chrome piece...that is the only reason i havent gotten one yet.

I wasn't fond of 'em either untill I got the TSX. I noticed it resembled the headlight projectors and the 4 fogs grew on me... had to get 'em. Signal Auto got the trunk and hood for approximately $400/each. They do regular business with Fiber Images. I think list price is like $600 for hood and $500+ for the trunk, I'd find a shop who can give a discount. If you go to their site (FiberImages.com) I think they're "on sale" but still too much. I dont know any other company that deletes the trim from their hood. All you need to do is paint it black, I will eventually. That's what I did with the trim going around the grill...

I have a carbon fiber dash kit...
on my Integra. lol

I don't have one on my TSX just yet. I think the interior is fine and I'd rather spend that money on something else. When I do get to upgrading the interior, I'll get the CF dash kit and CF Momo shift knob.

There's so much to do with our cars and so little money...
I'll get my JDM headlights before I get to my interior...
I've also been thinking of fab'ing up a CF underbody rear diffuser from this CF sheet they sell @ Super Autobacs...

Hot dayum you straight brought up an old thread back to life... lol

Naw, I havn't touched her as far as more mods since the Hondata. I'm planning on getting that turbo kit prolly soon and then I'll refine the rest of the body. I honestly want Mugen sides and rear though...

Lemme know how your kit works out CJ. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Kenstyle, beit real or knock off lol, sides and rear.

Ok, I have to ask: Is that some sort of sticker type material over the hood and trunk that looks like carbon fiber? Or is it entirely CF with some parts painted to match the body?

If it's the former - explain to me the logic of ADDING something to your car to make it appear more lightweight.

LOL good lookin out. I sure hope anyone with enough money to buy a TSX would have enough sense and taste to NOT put any phony CF on the car.

On another note: Ah... the memories of my old baby.
