Orange County Coast (large pics)

The wife and I drove down to Orange County this past weekend. We've both been working pretty hard so we thought we deserved some time off. Destination: Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. We took Pacific Coast Highway south from Long Beach. Saw two Porsche Carrera S4s on the trip down. Stopped for an ice cream on Balboa Island and spotted this beauty.

There were lots of very nice cars out, Lexus SUVs, Lexus sedans, Porsches, Corvettes, and this Crossfire

The TSX, although much less expensive, looked right at home among the moneyd crowd.

After leaving Newport Beach we proceeded further south on PCH, past Crystal Cove, towards Laguna. This is where the convertibles came out. I counted 3 convertible SL600, 2 Porsche Boxters (one brand new one with dealer plates revved around 6K to pass me), one Carrera S and another Carrera S4, all this among the usual assortment of LS430, BMW745, and MB E500. Man, I was looking left and right checking out the cars and my wife was enjoying the coastal scenery. Here's a pic of a cove just north of Laguna's main beach (I forget the name of the cove). It was a beautiful day and the water looks crystal clear. It was a weekned that made me soooo happy to live in So Cal.

How your statement should have read ^^

Sounds like a fun trip and some great pics there, especially the one of the beach.

I just was just in Huntington 2 weeks ago for my semi-annual "break" from the wife, and it never stops amazing me how many people have new cars with the dealer plates. It's kind of strange to see because up here you leave the lot with a plate...

I was also surprised how many SL's there were. Apparently through Fletcher Motors, when you buy that car all of the service and washing is paid for, they will act as taxi service for you if you want to leave the car at the dealer when you leave town, and when you add it all up, it ends up being a not so expensive car.
