Old Car...New Car...

It has been a wild couple of weeks for me. About a month ago I totaled my 2004 Mazda 6 that I purchased in January of this year . One good thing did come from that though, I was able to get a TSX . I absolutely love the car and I have only had it for three days!

Here are some of the pics:

I too was about to say sorry for the loss until I realized it was a Mazda 6. I say good riddance and that you made a good choice in switching car.

Hope everyone in the M6 was alright.

There's no comparison - that set of pics shows the TSX to be much better looking

We'd be interested in hearing your personal experience with both cars

Hope no one was hurt too much in the accident. Obviously we can't say the same for the 6.
Let us know how/why you like the new car better!

Here is the story on what happened to the M6. I was coming home from work, in Montgomeryville, during one of the left over hurricanes that was moving through the area. I hit some standing water that I didnt see and hydroplaned into on coming traffic. I was able to pull it back into my lane and I hit a tree and spun. Suprisingly I didn't hit anyone else. I was the only passenger in car and only had a burn on my hand from the airbag, so I guess the car did what it is made to do. As for a comparison, I have only had the TSX for 3 days but I absoluetly love it. Some areas like wind noise, interior styling are better on the TSX. I will have to wait a little before I can make a full comparison between the two.

ric: That isn't my TSX on Broad I live in Phoenixville and work in Montgomeryville.

P.S. Was anyone at the King of Prussia mall this weekend with a silver TSX? I parked right next to you and I am a PSU grad too...

PhillyBoy, I'm curious about something. When you bought the Mazda 10 months ago, the TSX was an option as well. You could have replaced your 6 with another, but you went with the TSX instead. What changed?

To answer some of the questions...

Yes, insurance covered the whole accident completely. They said my rates may not go up that much if that night is ruled as a catastrophic event.

The TSX was an option but since I had just gotten out of school and started working I didn't have all the funds that I now have. So when I had the chance to upgrade I jumped an the opprotunity.

As for the avatar, sorry to sipark. I didn't mean to rip yours off. I think it is kind of different, instead of the straight PSU logo(nothing against yours). All in all I think it turned out pretty good.
