I know I'm a bit late, but thank god you're okay. My dad rode an old Honda for years as his daily driver. I used to ride on the tank when I just a few years old. He layed it down a few times, wound up losing two fingers on his left hand, and he was careful. I can't even imagine growing up without him.

I personally have never driven a bike, always a bit too afraid. I think my Dad played a huge part in that. He even picked up an old Honda Sabre about 3 or 4 years ago cheap. He wanted to fix it up and ride it to work every now and again. He claimed it was cheaper than driving his old beat up minivan (why do mechanics always drive the most delapidated POS vehicles on the road) with gas prices being so high. But I know it was because he just missed having one. I helped him do some work on it, but he wound up selling it just a few months ago. He said he was tired of it taking up space in his garage, but from talking to him, I think the reality of just how bad its gotten on the roads in Central Florida dawned on him. And he realizes its not worth the risk.

But, I digress, she was a beaut, but I'm glad you were able to tell the tale.
