No need to wait for spring...

The story begins with my wife seeing a TL-S at the dealership last week when we picked up the TSX after some warranty work.

Being that I spent $3500 on mods a month ago, so I thought it was fine she spend $1800 on some wheels and tires

After a little research and some help from many members I made my decision.

WedsSport TC005 18x8 on 235/40/18 Kumho ECSTA SPT

Side by side with the 06 Factory wheel

During the install I realized that they mounted all 4 wheels for the left side of the car

I went ahead with the install and I called Discount Tire this morning and got them fixed. Once that was done it was time for some pics!!!!!!

special thanks to Acurasrule for all his help and the inspiration for the post title

Wow, this thread is just freaky. My bonus pays out next Thursday, at which point I had (just as of yesterday!) decided on that exact wheel/tire combination for my 04 CGP. You just sold me ten-fold on my decision; that car looks GORGEOUS!

I can't wait to order mine.

I think I'm the only one left who doesn't care for these / the TL-S wheels. Whatever floats your boat.

To each their own. I am going to see if my guy at Radley can hook me up with a set of TL-S or 07 TL take-offs that I can try on my car.

I think the TLS wheels are 18 x 8.5

Nope. TL-S wheels are 17x8, same as the stock wheels, just a different design.

i got the WEDS because if I was going to spend the $$ on wheels I wanted to one up.

my research was to poll the forums and friends on tire choices and clearance issues, but as you can see in the pics they barely show any tire outside of the fender, which is just fine with me

The Kuhmos compared very similarly to a lot more expensive tires(ie- goodyear eagle f1s), but were right at $100 a piece, which helped me decide that I would choose them because I could replace them if I didn't like them

As far as ride quality(25-30 miles driven so far) they ride nice, but since it's pouring here in FL. I haven't been able to really test them.

I did notice on my way to work today that my car bottoms out a little on large bumps. It seems to hit the fender liner clip that is located in the center of the wheel well at the top. I don't want to adjust the height, so I guess i'll take it easy around the bumps.

I'm at full stiff right now on the FLEX(edfc motors mounted, but not wired up), so I hope it won't get worse when i soften it up

Thumbs up

Wow, that looks great! And thanks for the pictures showing us how the wheels/tires line up with the fender. I've always wondered what how 18x8's +42 would fit.

yeah but those will be installed on another install date

and the great thing for you is if everything I do to my car allows you to plan for yours and you get first dib on the kit if I ever decide to sell it

that is why i was so tentative about ordering until I was sure and I think they fit fine

a little neg camber on the fronts would help some, but i'm talking so little it's not worth it to get a 2nd alignment in a month
