New wheels on! 18x7.5 ASA AR2!

My new wheels finally came in today. They are 18x7.5 +48 ASA AR2 w/ Avon Tech 550 XL mounted on them. I'm dropped on Tein SS.

Tell me what you all think:

Thanks for the compliments! I had always loved mesh rims, but always ended up purchasing some other style for my previous cars.

Yeah this is the last mod for the TSX for me, other than the sound deadening I'm waiting on. I sold my prelude and sti because I was spending way too much money on them. Reason why I decided to purchase a 4-door automatic. I cannot go any lower, might have to raise it up a little bit because I rubbed a few times todays in a few big dips on the highway. Houston roads FTL.

The next lower offset available is +40. Too low for 235/40/18.

Haha yeah, when the wheels were sitting in my living room they looked huge, but once mounted they looked perfect.

not really sure how you are rubbing at all with that offset, that wheel width, and that ride height. I only rub a little and I am running 19x8 +38 tucking 1/4in of tire.

LOOKS PERFECT.

I used to have ASA AR1s on my '03 Passat, and I loved them. I've never seen the AR2s in person, and the TireRack makes them look quite odd in their "view on your vehicle" system. I'm seriously considering them for my TSX now!

And I don't think it needs to be any lower at all... ride height is great... if anything, I would raise it a hair.

Fronts are not rubbing at all...only the rears. The edge of the tires sit right underneath the edge of the fender, the tires are not tucked and cannot be tucked unless i increase negative camber.

Purchased them from www.tirerack.com. I paid $199 per rim. Total came out to around $1462 shipped for the wheels with avon tech tires mounted and balanced.

are you running complete 0 camber in the rear. you can run 1.5 degrees of camber in the rear and effect tire ware next to none and it will dramatically increase the wheel size you can fun in the rear.

No, the rear cambers are not at 0. They are already slanted inward due to the drop. My only option if I want to keep the drop is to either raise the rears up 1/4-1/2" or get rear camber kit. But I would rather just raise it up a little higher than to get a camber kit. I'm not worried about the negative camber caused by the drop because it is usually the toe that is the culprit to premature tire wear.

if you increase the drop you will probably actually rub less.

Hmm...never thought about it that way. I'll give it a try in two weeks once I head back to my parents house where I actually have a garage.
