New Pics w/ OEM kit

couldn't be happier after installing my kit today. it was some grueling work in the hot and humid weather today, and have a nice sunburn to show for it, but it was worth it.

washed my car to make it all nice and clean, and then a torrential rainstorm comes by. didn't get any good pics yet.

a drop is coming! had neuspeed sports in my living room for 2 months now, hopefully I'll have the tools and time to put them on next week. now where's that hood trim... j/k its in the mail, thanks accsuperstar (for help w/ the rims too)

Nice! Your car is more sportier. Good Choice for the SSR.

Any particular reason you haven't tinted your windows? I think a regular old smoke tint would look sweet with those rims. It looks good on any PWP but with your rims, it would look AWESOME.

I'm still at school, and all the good tint shops are at home, so waiting till I'm done w/ school. You better believe I'm getting some nice black tint ASAP.

the rim retails from tirerack at $450/each. I bought mine w/ tires for $1600 used , had about 3000 miles on them.

I autocrossed w/ my wheels today and thought I'd give some impressions. They're 225/45/18 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712

They were a huge upgrade over the stocks, but I was hoping for a little more. As far as autocrossing goes, I liked the Falken Azenis on the Mazda3s I drove at Mazda Rev It Up more. The Kumho were fairly responsive, you could feel them slipping slightly before they broke completely. And even when they did lose traction it wasn't horribly bad (unlike the stocks IMO), you could still stay under control by letting off the throttle or unturning the wheel slightly.

The wheels did not have much sidewall roll, I ran 36/40 PSI and was happy with the pressure, so I did not change it during the day. When hot they were up to 38/42 PSI.

I drove home through some heavy rain, and they felt perfect. The car was completely under control, quite a difference from the Falken's which I hear easily hydroplane in rain.

My combination of 18in rims and summer tires does add some roughness to the ride. I can feel some slight shaking in my steering wheel, as the wheels transfer a lot of the road vibrations. Its worse on some surfaces that others. At first I questioned if the hubrings were the correct size (as my wheels were used, and have DSM hub rings), but tirerack says DSM and TSX are the same size. And the shaking wasn't bad, just noticable on certain crappy raods in West VA.
