New pics, 05 SSM w/ A spec drop and wheels

Here they are, the 05 Sparkle Silver 18x8 A spec wheels with 235/40r18 P Zero nero's. Sorry about the pic size and quality. if someone can re-size them thats fine.

Pics look great Joe... I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer the silver sparkle finish to the chrome-look and platinum finishes. Now just add the OEM kit, and it'll look even better

Btw... can you take some side angle shots of how the wheels/tires look? Most people who ran the 18x8 wheels paired them with 225-40-18 tires. Do they stick out at all, or are they still inside the fender?

Yeah i'll take some more. these were taken early and i didn't have great light. The fronts stick out just a little but they look very agressive in person. i'm very pleased.

Your car looks great, Joe. I personally think the A-Spec suspension is an ideal dop for the car. I'll be getting it myself soon. Wheels look good, too.

Any impressions on how the car drives with the new suspension?

I've had the A spec on for almost a month and have been very pleased. I had the rims, tires, camber kit, and Comptech rear sway put on yesterday along with the alignment. It still rides excellent but i haven't really got to test out the handling much. Hopefully i can test it out a little on some on/off ramps on the way home today.

you guys think i should go for the OEM body kit?

Car looks good the A-Spec definately looks better with18's than 17' for some reason.

And definately get the OEM kit, or if you are feeling extra rich Euro-R kit.

Very clean. Actually your A-Spec drop is a little more than I expected. I just did the neuspeed-koni/comptech install in mine saturday, and was kinda suprised at how much the drop was. Need to do some tinkering, my front looks just like yours, but the rear is low.

Great choice on getting the 18" A-spec rims. I have them also, just in chrome. Waiting to pay off some bills and x-mas shopping before I buy the tires for them. I spent a little too much the past month on the car so probably Jan-Feb my new rims will be on.

Do you feel the rear camber kit is necessary for the a-spec suspension drop? I'm going to get the a-spec but am unsure whether to get the camber kit for the rear.

I wish the acura a-spec suspensions were a bit lower... would really set the car off. Nice car all the same.

Depends on how long you want your rear tires to last. Mine was quite a bit out of factory spec and i didn't want to have my tires wear unevenly.

Yeah, I was also under the impression that a camber kit was unnecessary with the A-Spec, hence no OEM camber kit offering.

nice pix!

i just got my a-specs installed this past weekend. from what i was told, it's only a 1 inch drop in the rear with no noticeable drop in the front. ride is a little firmer while still comfortable and it cures the body roll to a certain degree. im still not sure about those aspec wheels...will keep mine on stock

Joe, great setup! I was wondering if you've had any issues with the tires rubbing at all?

Thanks for the info. That was one of my biggest concerns having the tires rub. Also, would you happen to have any pictures taken more from the front and rear of the car? I would like to see how the wheels look from different angles.

thanks.

All the a spec parts are available seperately. i got the a spec wheels and suspension off ebay. the wheels came from acura of escondido(sp) and they are the TL a spec 18's.

Do you have any shots of the wheels from a front or rear side angle? I want to see how much the wheels stick out. I know you mentioned that they barely stick out in front, but would love to see a picture if possible.

Nicely done! Did you put the Tanabe springs on the A-spec struts?

By the way, what is the weight of the stock 17's from an 05 if the A-Spec rims are 26.5 lbs?
