Navi conversion from Hell

Ran across this pic of a custom navi conversion gone horribley wrong!

It is a nice attempt, but glassing that kind of shit is hard. If I ever went that route I would say forget trying to make glass the trim flush with the dash and I would make a mdf ring wrapped in black leather. It wouldn't follow the lines of the dash but it would be straight and flat.

exactly I have a screen down there and the surround is made of mdf and recessesed just like the factory storage pockets. the bottom curve is made from hard pack model foam and then the entire thing is wrapped in vinyl.

...although the Fiberglass actually looks worse in pictures because of the reflections. I wonder if it looks better in person.

at least it's unique ;-)

It doesn't look so bad...if i were still younger and poor, i'd be happy just having added another functionality to the car.

I think it might look better if it were tilted up a little bit...seems like it's showing it's info to the shift knob
