My new Works Xd9 bronze rims on PWP!

My Work Emotions 18x8 Bronze Xd9 +45 arrived today and what a beautiful rim it is! I went with Hankook Ventus V12 tires 225/40/18. I might need to lower the car some more to fill in the gaps that the 19's left.

looks good.

I'm not a big fan of step lip because makes your wheels look smaller. drop it little more to make it flush.

stepped lip also makes the brakes fill in the wheels more, which looks better than when you have big wheels and small(stock brakes)

Thank you everybody for your comments! i will take positive feed back anytime of day. WOW! lower?!? i thought i was low enough dealing with drive ways, speed bumps and such here in SOCAL. How much lower you think i should go? an inch all around? half an inch? let me know and i will def take the advice and snap more pics of the outcome.

i wouldn't lower it anymore. Don't sacrifice the drivability of it. Maybe just a small spacer in teh back to bring the wheels out a little bit more

Slam that baby!

Seriously though, I think an inch more all around would be good. I was at the same height as you before when I put my new wheels on and most people sugguested that I drop it more.... My car looks WAY better and I know it will be the same for you too.... Try it out, you won't be dissapointed....

As far as drivibilty, you're already lowered so it won't be a drastic difference when it comes to ride quality....

got any before and after pics? Ever since i got the Tein coilovers 3 years ago i have never adjusted it. Was there any fender work needed to be done? What size rims are you rolling on? spacers? let me know! Thanks!

I have Tein Basic's as well and I've already adjusted 3 times and I now have the perfect drop that was looking for.... I'm only running 18x7.5 +45, not agressive at all, no spacers and no rolled fenders. But I do planned on on getting 15mm spacers for the rear to bring them out more, probably then I'll have to roll my rear fenders. I'll post some before and after shots by Saturday so you can see the difference that an inch makes.....

Thanks for the reply! how much of a drop in inches do you think you did overall? I'm running 18x8 +45 so its not much of a difference between yours. I will be looking forward to seeing your ride before and after pics... stay posted thanks!

Well here they are, the pics I promised. Sorry for the crappy quality but you will get a good sense of what I was talking about before....

I believe I went down about an inch all around...

Before:

After:

Again sorry for the crappy quality but I think you can see what I meant about how an inch makes a difference. Hopes this helps.

hey I appreciate you taking the time to do that, pictures arent crappy at all. That is a big difference on what an inch can do but i think my front is way lower on what you had on the before pic... i think i have to work on the rear
i will take pictures for you to see what i mean.. once again thanks for doing that.. it really helps alot!

No problem...

Yea I just took a look at it... You're right, the front of your car looks lower than my before pic. Looking forward to seeing the adjustement.

Also I think the A-Spec body kit would really make the car look sick... I'm in the process of saving some money for it... It makes a huge difference....

yeah the A-Spec is a awesome body kit! but also the Honda Accord Euro R bodykit which brings me to a halt on which kit i should really decide on its a tough choice imho. I'm loving your ride though especially with the rims you have on with that stance, you should consider posting more pictures of your ride here on the forums. What kind of trunk spoiler is that? spoon? m3? FLP?

Thanks man! Your car is looking sick too!

Yea I was having the same dilemma but I decided to get the A-Spec kit because of money. Even though the Euro-R kit is sick, it's really is expensive and takes a really long time to get here. So I'm contempt with A-Spec kit, it's going to look sweet either way IMO....

I have a close friend who is a really good photographer but I want to wait until I do a couple of things to the car so that it really looks nice. I need to get the A-Spec kit, paint my calipers black (red is played out already IMO lol) and do some minor things before I do a professional shoot. But when I do the shoot, I'm definitely going to post it here....

Thanks!

These are Enkei EKM3. Bought them from Tirerack. Same manufacturer of our OEM wheels so you know you're going to have great quality and they look sweet (even better in person).
