My July 4th weekend...

Saturday, I went to pick this up.

Then Sunday, I installed them to the TSX.

Sorry, no pics of the car yet. I'll snap some tomorrow after the wash. :P

The pics are not the most important part - I assume the better ride is.

What's the purpose ?
Does this make the ride softer ? harder ? "sportier" ?

The ride was nice. It's definitely stiffer, but not bouncy. There are 16 levels of dampening adjustment. I have the front set at 6 (16 being the stiffest) and the rear at 8. Haven't really tried other settings yet, but both my wife and I felt that this is pretty good. The cornering has greatly improved (that's the purpose of this mod). I haven't pushed it to the limit yet, but I tried it at a freeway on-ramp that I'm very familiar with, and noticed a nice improvement. It now corners "flatter", less body roll. I'm thinking that I may take the car to the auto-x this weekend. I'll test out the new mod if there will be fun runs at the end of the day (I won't run it in the competition runs because I'm going for year-end points with the S2000 :P ).

The installation was pretty straight forward. It took me 3-1/2 hours to complete the installation (including snapping those pics and adjusting the "correct" ride height). I started out with the passenger rear first, putting the shock bolt back on was a little difficult. But then I disconnected the swaybar and the bolt slid in without extra effort. The fronts were easy, typical Honda front suspensions (except the RSX and new Civic).

the ride is adjustable, so you can have it ride soft or hard. the coilovers also give you to option of lowering the car for a more sportier feel while being able to maintain the closest aftermarket stock (sounds odd) ride you can get

I was looking for any other noises and found none. This is my 3rd set of TEIN coilovers (HA for the Prelude, HA for the Integra, and Flex for the TSX), this is the 2nd set that doesn't make anymore noises. The HA for my Prelude was noisy, it could be the reason that the factory rear suspension has clunking noise already, so the pillowball mounts from the HA could've amplified the noise even more. Anyway, there is no noise with the Flex in the TSX.

That was the original plan.........until she curbed one of the wheels couple months ago. I got that wheel repaired, but the color doesn't match, the texture doesn't match. She didn't like it and she said "well, we're gonna change them anyway, maybe we can change them sooner." Since I won't change rims without dropping the car first, therefore we decided to get the TEIN first.

You can get them for under $1300 shipped to your house. There is a post about this somewhere. I got them through a friend, and I don't know if I can disclose the price I paid.
