My Great Long Weekend (56K take a banana and come back)
The past Monday is Civic Holiday in Canada, thus we have a long weekend. Since me & my gf has stucked in the office most of the time, we decided to go for a tan.
We drove approx 3hrs (401 E is sooooo stuck on Sat morning, spent an hr sitting there) to Bloomfield and head to SandBanks Provincial Park. The place is beautiful, and GTAers can forget about the dirty Woodbine beach or super crowded Wasaga Beach.
Enjoy.
When the government charge you for parking, you know it's good shxt. lol
Streching our legs on the parking lot.
3D Castle with details
Clear Water... You will never see that in Woodbine or Wasaga Beach
Another crazy sand-built castle
This is NOT Toronto Centre Island, so top-less is prohibited.
Sunset....... so romantic ... lol
Back to T.Dot for dinner, and it's 11:00p.m (Another 3hrs drive cause I got lost in the county)
Sunday...
After a long drive this is what happened... soooo dirty
My exhaust is sooo dirty too, all black so it's time to clean
Some degreaser, and a small piece of steel-wool will do the job.
More bubbles...
More rims cleaner....
My cleaning tools, not the best but it does the job
Nothing bling here, just clean like everyone else...
Shinny....
No more black nasty carbon built-up

I just tried Turtle Wax interior cleaner for plastic and leather, and it's pretty good.
For exhaust, I use some steel/rim degreaser, and some steel-wool. Not sure if this method is right but it seems like very clean afterwards.

good collection of pics!
for those who are interested in the wash, acurazine has a wash and wax section which is really helpful. Lexol is a good conditioner for the leather.

Here in the states, most of the Acura dealers in the East Coast offer Lexol as a part in the parts department. Great product.
Looks good chuson, your car's come a long way. Looks great!

I've ordered my rims since March, and I finally got a final ETA on Aug 24, so I hope there's no more delay.

When you guys search, the most important word is "diecast". You can put "Euro-R"; "Honda"; "1:43" in front etc. But I use none of those cause I used "G35/skyline" lol, because I was looking for one before I got the TSX, thought I will get a G35 sedan but ends up w/ TSX, not bad.
It's not the same as mine, this one looks like Accord, or Type-S? HERE
You guys will like this site, they are located in HK and will do international order. It's fun to watch all Honda pages too as they have crazy diecast, they have other brand of vehicles too, alot of choices. TSX/Euro-R on P.6 or 7

Thanks for the info on the diecasts, guys. I didn't find anything on ebay, but the i-modelcar.com site seems to have some in stock in HK. I'm waiting for an email to see what the shipping cost is -- if it's not too outrageous, I'll order one.

First I thought the steel-wool will scratch the stainless steel exhaust so I tried inside the pipe, but it seems ok so I buff my whole exhaust.

(1) Thanks for trip report on Sandbanks. I've been wanting to go, now I want to go even more.
(2) My gosh, there's those little die-casts somewhere in the world! Thank-you, thank-you!

It is the absolute best! They also sell them in "wipes" versions. Those are a snap to use.

We've got all kinds of topics going in this thread now. Cool.
FYI, I did order the diecast Accord (in a kinda-matches-my-CGP graphite pearl, even) at a total cost of HKD 278.00 (USD 35.50). Now we'll just see if it shows up in a month or two. The folks at i-modelcar.com were nice and helpful.
