Well, yes, it's not the camera...

But I'm a halfway decent photographer, but I don't have a camera right now so I want a camera so that I can start shooting again.

Yeah it can be very frustrating when the photographer is limited by the equipment

Thank

and yeah, if i can't hit a 3pt-er i can't always blame the ball right gota work ur way
around it... and sometimes u just want a better camera...

on a serious note, my shots aren't even that good.... if u look at it critically
my photos are underexposed, noisy and sometimes the composition isn't even right..
and to tell u guys the truth, i've been really lazy... haven't been shooting anything else
except cars.... and not doing a very good job of it....

they are okay, as everyone should take pride in their own work...

cause i know andy is frustrated with me sometimes cause we spend 30-60mins
shooting and i only give him 3-4 pics sometimes even less.... be critical of ur self
is the only way to improve...

however i can only be critical of my self interms of photo, and not school work LOL........

I think this is way-above average yield for amateur photographers, and below-average for professional ones.

I am not as skilled as you, but I noticed that my acceptability % has never increased, even as I've gotten much better Improved skill = higher expectations.

last one?
it's not hard..

find a gravel road... ask ur subject to drive over it as a speed fast enough for the
dust to fly up (20-30 was how fast andy was driving i think), set ur aperture to the
widest... and click away...

as for those motion shots..
car looks fast? but he was only going @ 35km/h... slow shutter and pan the camera...
took 6 diff shots.. only this one turned out ok... just times time and patients... trail and
error... very much like moding a tsx

Yea, I was intrested in the motion shot where everything is blured except for the front half of the car. Very cool...

for sure, to have encouragement helps out a lot... i hang around with bunch of other
amateur photographers like my self and we chat and critique each other...

sometimes u just have to shoot for ur self and not matter wut others say...
i've got ppl telling me harsh comments like "u are posting only just to fish for comments"
but in reality i m shooting for my self, for my own portfolio and i m posting to share
my work, and let others enjoy the beauty of the sexy lines that our TSX's have..
and not to "show off" but of course, like i said b4, everyone should be proud
of their work right...

just keep on shooting... that's the only way to improve... i was looking at the earlier
pics i posted when i first came on this forum... i was like "wtf why would i post this??!!
this is pos"

photo distortion because of the motion blur, ur shock were in action cause of the gravel
road that's why it looked weird.
