Damn. I am so sorry to see that. I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy

What happenned?
The positive that I can see is that the stereo system is probably still okay since there doesn't look to be damage to the rear end.

I was driving down a street about a block away from my house and the guy infront of me pulled over to make a u-turn, then he didnt even stop. as i was going around him he cut real hard to the left and i honked and swirved, but that wasnt enough. he decided not to stop until he hit me.

well atleast ur tint held ur glass in place and it didnt shatter too bad. tinted windows are a safety barrier just like an airbag. working in the police/ems field i seen alot of eye injurys and abrasions from shattered glass but tint works like a windshield. did u walk away with any injurys or abrasions? chances are very little i bet if any. tint makes a car look good but it also can save ur ass in many ways. just sucks most states dont see that way. and being a cop i love it on my cars but it does suck walking up to car and not knowing if someone is pointing a gun towards u. so its gots its pros and cons. but in all honesty i bet it saved alot here and thats what counts!
Jay

Oh and if i were u, nows the time for a body kit! bet u can get it thrown in the deal somehow!

Very interesting...I didn't think of tint as helping with safety. Makes sense though

my buddy owns a tint shop. they sell tint that has no color to it all. just called safety tint. basically looks like a giant roll of scotch tape lol. but it does the trick i guess. but yea if u are obsessive compulsive and need to drive a volvo than thats how u would go lol

actually none of the airbags went off. I was surprised, i figured the passenger side would have atleast gone off, but i guess the car "knew" no one was on that side. kinda like how if someone on the passenger side is under a certain weight it shuts off the passenger side airbag.

I got out of the car walking..... i dident even have a scratch or bruise. I was a little shaken up, but that is expected. I am starting to feel a little sore and my body feels a little tight. If it progresses, i will probably go to the doctors and get checked out.

As far as the car goes, i am a little worried about frame damage. The B piller took most the impact and the roof is buckled a little. Once the body shop gets the car torn apart, I will know if there is more internal damage then needed. I tried to get a time frame from the body shop manager, but the most he could tell me was definately more than 6 weeks and probably less than 12 weeks. So hopefully I dont end up in a chevy malibu or something as a rental.

Thank you everyone for your concearn, i will keep you all informed on the progress as I find out more info.

Its all good......... actually i wish they would total it, but i know they wont. Who wants damaged goods back.

I have had this car for 2 years, driven 39,000 miles in it and its never even had a scratch on the body. The most damage this car as ever seen is a curbed wheel, and even that wasnt bad I was only parking the car.

Sorry for the loss. I would not even claim it on your own insurance, it will drop your score. In my past wrecks, I went directly on my own to the other driver's insurance co. I would demand they buy the car. It looks too f$%ked up to keep.

So what was the other person driving? What did it do to his car?

Major league bummer!!!! Glad to see you got out of it OK. As to the question of totaled or not, it looks like it missed the rocker panel but if it buckled the roof it could get really expensive to bring her back to the way she was. On the plus side at first blush it doesn't look like it will affect the tracking. Still, having been there & done that, you're right about it never feeling the same as new. On the plus side hit the Kelly Blue Book site and you'll see just how well the TSX holds it value.

Keep thinking the good thoughts.

How big was this road? Must of been pretty big for him to pull over and then t-bone you like that. Was this like 5am and he thought he was the only one on the road?

Sorry dude.

What was he driving? Were the police called? Did he get a summons?

I hate to say it but they won't "total" the car. Insurance will pay for the damages, unless the frame is too badly bent but doesn't look like it.

Most drivers SUCK.

The road was two lanes in each direction with a suicide lane. It was 2 in the afternoon and there was oncoming traffic. This guy that hit me was just an idiot driver.

He was driving a Jeep Liberty, I called the police, and no one was written a ticket.

I know they wont total it, i said that before. But I wish they would, the car will never feel the same to me.

Well I got the "guesstimate" for my car. It is at $5700, but they couldnt get the doors off to see the inside damage. The door could not be pryed off, so they are putting the car in the frame machine on Monday to pull the doors off. The guy at the body shop guaranteed me that the price will increase by 25% and possibly 40% by the time they are done. At this point I am thinking about selling this car when I get it back

I will see how she drives when I get her back and make my decision about selling then. The system is fone un harmed, except for the speakers in the two doors. I am faxing the insurance company a receipt some time this week. If I keep the car, I will have to find new speakers. I do not think I am gonna go with the a/d/s/ speakers again.
