What kind of problems are you having? Are your shredding belts? Are they slipping?

Most likely an alignment issue then. If you get a cheap laser level from the hardware store you can use that for a quick eyeballing. Does the supercharge pulley have any adjustability built in?

Unfortunately, no. The high boost pulleys that I've seen for the M62s are typically made for RSX Type-S apps. I don't know if the mounting position for the RSX kit is different, but it seems like my HBP sits a little further in on the drive arm than my stock pulley from Comptech. There has been no negative consequences since my belt still runs straight, but the slight difference in pulley positions is noticeable.

Have you checked all other pulley rotations? I ripped the outside rib off a belt because my lightweight crank pulley wasn't rotating straight (bearing seated incorrectly) and the belt was pulled off and running on the track wall as a result.

That sucks. Sounds like a shim may need to be fabbed up. Hopefully that won't be too difficult.

Even when you're ordering belts, you're balling

Come to think of it, I might actually order a backup myself to minimize downtime (special order item from NAPA).

the alignment issue looks to be on the outside end of the auto tensioner. Looks as is a spacer/washer may need to beintroduced to keep the idler from pulling the belt too far over on the alternator. it was a mod he had to do on his 05 already but since thats his dail and this one is not, the mod was never tested on this car.

dyno sheets:

this is the 06 after the custom exhaust and Injen CAI. no further tuning was done cause we were having the belt problems. i guess it made a pretty big difference!

and here's the daily:

for these last two runs on the daily we took off the top of the airbox. guess it makes a difference too!

Oh man that's sweet. You're rich as crap it looks like. Should be a more than a little more power left in there once everything is straightened out. Your car looks sweet in "action".

Ah, that makes more sense. I was wondering how the car would even be running at those numbers.

Damn Drew, nice numbers .

With a proper tune, I'm guessing you'll get at least another 10-20whp.

Haha, I was wondering how you were deducing A/F ratios from the boost plots...

Yeah, well you can't see any labels on the plot and most of the time, that smaller box down there maps the A/F ratio. That's what I get for making assumptions.

Alrighty folks well my friend who installed the sc came over last night and as of now everything seems to be good. He had to add some washers here and there, especially to the smaller pulley on the blower side. We took the car out for some "runs" and the belt appears to be holding up fine now. Doesn't appear to be jumping and no ripped ends. Hopefully I can be back on the dyno next week saturday(21st).

one question here. One of my friend is also looking to buy the K-pro for his supercharge TSX. He told me something that I really don't understand. He said that before install his K-pro into his supercharged TSX, he must first install his K pro in a stock TSX. Is this correct? Why?

That doesn't really make sense.

When you purchase the supercharger, part of the purchase price is pre-payment for a Hondata reflash for your stock ECU to work with the supercharger. Unless I'm missing something, there's no way to buy a supercharger WITHOUT this included reflash.

Once you get KPro, you ALSO have to send your stock ECU to Hondata to get it reflashed to work with KPRo. Then you just hook up the two ECU's and head to your KPro tuner and have them go to town.

He bought the RSX supercharge and installed in his TSX. The problem is he bought it WITHOUT reflash included. That's why he is getting KPro for his mixed supercharge system.

Still having problem with your belt?
go to "Club RSX" and search for New Auto Belt Tensioning system or supercharger belt tensioning system
