just small stuff
so this afternoon the Hondata guys down here started to work on the ride. switched to a smaller pulley (3.1), put in the new injectors, plugged in the kpro, switched to a smaller belt, and then started her up. car was running fine so i took her home and i have a dyno and tune tomorrow at 10am at the facility they use. gonna be getting a full tune tomorrow (cam angles, part throttle, etc.). i'll update once we get finished!

sorry guys but we ran into a wall... it looks like we fixed the belt problem however the Mugen exhaust is too restrictive. i don't exactly remember what they told me but the car did hit 10.5 lbs of boost when they were first starting out but after some tuning or something the car was only running about 7.5 lbs. apparently the Mugen exhaust is only 2.25" so they're gonna custom fab 2.5-3.0" piping, some kind of metallic cat? or something like that, and out to 3.0" Blitz Nurspec mufflers. they said this should be more than enough for the exhaust to run the 10-10.5 lbs of boost.
but not to worry!! everything will be done within the week and I WILL be back on the dyno next weekend with the new exhaust system and will get tuned accordingly!!
so not a total loss. i did gain power and torque so i'm happy!! can't wait till next weekend!!
previous dyno results:

im not that good at reading dyno charts so dont flame me hahaha. but was your 1st numbers on the dyno 204hp? is that at 7.5lbs of boost.
also...i know im noob...but why did you use an rsx-s ecu, i thought kpro is compatible with the tsx ecu

^k-pro is a dual ecu setup.
the second ecu sits under the passanger seat usually.
the rsx-s ecu is the programmable one that controls the engine.
the stock one gets reflashed so that it only controls the car functions,
it relinquishes control of the engine to the rsx-s one.
there is no tsx ecu that is programmable for engine management.
that's why a second ecu is needed.

Damn you, Drew ...congrats on being the first K-Pro/SCed TSX .
That Mugen exhaust must be really restrictive because even with the K-Pro + 3.1" pulley, your numbers seem a bit low compared to a stock MT S/C setup. Can't wait to see the custom exhaust you're getting.
Did you just add the pulley + injectors? You might consider adding a higher flowing fuel pump as well. I also wouldn't recommend using RC550 injectors. Hondata specifically recommended against using those injectors because of inconsistent spray pattern issues:

Did you get that replacement Civic A/F sensor? If so, where did you get it from and how much did it run you?
Good luck with the tune, bro. Keep it up .

Great stuff Drew
What size belt did you end up running?
Definitely looking forward to the results!
Please, give us feedback on driveability too.
Does the car drive smoother than before now that you have K-Pro?
Do you feel boost kicking in at all or is it a smooth transition?

initial impressions is that i'm loving the extra torque! it might seem like i didn't gain all that much but when i step on it the car really hauls a$$!
thanks man! yeah apparently the Mugen exhaust is pretty restrictive. as for the setup, i just added the 3.1 pulley and the injectors. i told the hondata tuners about the injectors and they called and spoke with doug directly today and i don't exactly remember what he said, but in the long run everything should be fine. something about they were having problems with the 550's with a jackson racing manifold or something like that, don't remember all the details.
as for the sensor, i picked one up form my local honda dealer. it would have cost me $387 but because i have a relative that works there i was able to get it at $215
the hondata guys don't think it's the injectors. they suspect it's with the exhaust system.
the belt and size we used was a good year gatorback belt, size 4070763- 7PK1940. the car does feel a lot smoother now throughout the entire rpm range. i can't tell when the boost kicks but i'll be sure to find out all that good stuff this coming weekend
i'll probably be back there around the same time. to be safe though i'd say maybe come around 11 if you were gonna check it out cause it took a while to prep the car and all that jazz.
not too sure. i'll find out this weeknd!
