JDM valve Cover and Okada Projects

ok so i bought my tsx about a year ago. bought it with about 80,000 miles on it and to me its always seemed sluggish. Even my friend mike has said it. I've regularly changed the oil since i bought the car every 2,500 miles.

So i wanted to get the JDM wrinkle red valve cover. i bought it off CorsportUSA for $200, and a friend of mine suggested really getting some spark power so i researched and purchased Okada Project coil packs and some new NGK platinum plugs.

(Im in green)

Now the scary part, uppon taking the old valve cover off, i now know why the car always seemed to be sluggish

Engine Sluge Slowing You Down?!?!?!

previous owner must of neglected oil changes on NUMEROUS occations. I cleaned out the head as best as i could, ordered a new gasket set, and am in the process of running a few engine flushes. I was in shock when i pulled the valve cover off. I've NEVER seen something like this before especially on a car of my own because I maintain them as best as i can.

Overall I feel a HUGE difference with the new plugs coil packs and cleaning out most of the sluge.. the Okadas are EXPENSIVE but deffinitly a good investment IMO

Here is a couple pics my friend took of me and another one of my friends Civics

and my friend Mikes accord w/ the new 3.5 motor hes putting in (hes registered here as well, i think his name is mikerocka on here.)

Looks good but you shoulda went with Iridium plugs. That's what the car comes with so you're downgrading by goin with platinum.

was it really worth it?? I know your hood trim is connected to your hood, but you mind taking a picture of how the hood trim looks like?? and it's one piece with the hood right?
