I don't have any recent photos... I'll let you know when I do.

Here's a side-by-side comparison:

hey, how is your mugen logo being held up onto the grill? double-sided tape?

b/c i just got a used 06/07 one. it's got two pegs in the back, but no threads or anything to bolt onto to secure it.

There are little washer-like components that securely slide over the pegs (one way only) to keep the emblem attached to the mesh. If that hardware didn't come with it, perhaps use epoxy to keep it attached... Make sure it's nice and straight before it dries. That should work just as good, if not better.

If you bought a used Mugen grille, why didn't the previous owner have the emblem attached? In fact... why would someone sell that grille in the first place? Were they parting out their car for some cash?

i don't know.

but those plastic things didn't come with it. i just got the grille trim and mesh (both painted in pwp, which i have to repaint), the mugen logo, instructions, original box, and some double sided tape.

i wonder if i can pick up some washer substitute to keep it on there. i don't want to epoxy it.

I bought my 06 grill used as well and did not come with either emblem or plastic hardware to attach the emblem with.

I bought my emblem separately ($26 for a stupid ass small emblem) and used the 3m tape on the back to secure it onto the grill. That's all it really needs to be secure.

Any chance you have a better shot up close of the Blackout tape on the windows...

I'm asking because I was washing my freakin' 06 today and as i hit it with normal pouring water, I saw my chrome chipping on the front grille... WTF.

So now I'm thinking of A. Buying a new aftermarket grille. or B. using black out to black out the front grille.

Thanks

It's not blackout tape, my friend... It's the JDM blacked out window trim.

You can also think about having the chrome paint-matched by a bodyshop for a custom grille look (that's the route I went).

So where the chrome is on you're grille you had the body shop take it off and paint it the same color as the car? Any pics? Was it expensive?
