Nice car

Has that nice clean, uncluttered look. And that front grille is just awesome.

I've been reading this forum for awhile now, and just bought a 2005 TSX 6MT Carbon/Ebony in Boston, MA. I could be completely off my rocker, but I'm pretty sure those are the same headlights that it came with, and a quick look at my pictures (it's too cold outside to actually go look) looks like they're the same chrome handles, also. Have I gone crazy?

Great pictures, though!

There's a little chrome on the USDM handle but the whole handle is chrome overseas. The USDM headlights have orange corners but those are silver.

Yup. But there are also some external differences btw JDM models. The Euro R has black door trim instead of chrome, and the reverse light on tail-lights is slightly smoked/tinted instead of clear.

My ride is stock except for the rims - next mod is to drop it with some coilovers.

Long overdue update...

Here's the updated pixs -

[img]http://sg.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ml2spin/detail?.dir=/ef1e&.dnm=c60d.jpg[img]

[img]http://sg.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ml2spin/detail?.dir=/ef1e&.dnm=ab33.jpg[img]

Dropped it with Tein SS - three finger gap all round because I prefer better suspension travel and also need at least this ride height - just too many speed humps and nasty slopes in Singapore and the HKS exhaust is a bit low.

[img]http://sg.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ml2spin/detail?.dir=/ef1e&.dnm=b170.jpg&.src=ph[img]

Here's the HKS Silent Hi-power exhaust - only legal exhaust for the Euro R here - nice bassy note, especially below 3.5k rpm, so you can't sneak home late at night without the neighbours knowing

Ran with stock airbox for awhile but it feel laggy - after a switch to a BMC Carbon Box intake - a cheaper alternative to Mugen - car feels much better and now I tend to rev harder just to hear that exhaust burble turn into a rumble/roar before the VTEC sound takes over at 6k to the 8.6 redline

Volks CE28 in silver - 17x7.5 +43 offset and Yokohama Advan Sport 225/45 R17.

Love my R, but at times, i do wish for more torque in the lower revs - sometimes when you are in a rush, you got to rev quite hard and then some drivers will think you are racing with him/her...

Good size and love the look. Did you notice any significant decrease in ride comfort? I wonder why my 17's look smaller than yours

Yeah I can sympathize with you, especially with my K&N CAI. But thats the case with all Hondas evin more so the s2k. Anytime I need more umph it always sounds like im racing in my TSX. But then again, I do love the growl it sounds so sweeeeeet

BTW, your "legal" HKS exhaust setup --> you may need to clarify more.

Don't think that's really needed - I believe California has quite strict smog laws so some exhausts are illegal too, especially getting rid of that darn cat (pun intended)

But ok here's the long story:
for aftermarket exhausts, they need to be certified road-legal in their country of origin for that particular car model, and once that certificate is issued, the dealer/importer in SIngapore can then send the exhaust for inspection here and get it certified street legal.

The problem is not many manufacturers want go thru the extra trouble and cost - so far for Singapore, only HKS managed to get this exhaust certified for the JDM Accord CL7 and only for the Euro R version - the CL7 auto and CL9 auto were left out.

Fujitsubo is supposed to be pending - but we have been waiting for a year plus with no progress.

Mugen - even sadder example - the distribution rights were given to the official Honda agent here, and they will sell Mugen exhaust to officially imported Honda models - which means no legal Mugen exhausts for DC5 Integra Type R, EP3 Civic Type R and all the JDM Accords.

Moral of the story - car enthusiasts are here.

Decide that this thread needed to be updated... please excuse the quality - cellphone camera.

What it looks like now...

Wilwoods brake kit - FSL 4-pot calipers with 2-pc 320mm rotors.

Engine bay - intake is a BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox.

View from driver's seat - Defi's Link Display above aircon vents, Apexi RSM in the corner. The silver sphere on the A-pillar is a tweeter holder.

New seat - Bride Vios - full bucket with support pads. Seat harness - Sabelt 4-pt.

Stock Recaro seat converted to an office chair.

And finally a shot of me zooming around on the Sepang F1 circuit in Malaysia - a 3+ hours drive up from Singapore.

New rims so decided to update this thread.

They are Enkei GTC-01, 17x8 offset 40.

The new rims - heavier than the old CE28Ns but look a bit bigger and I just wanted to give the car a little Botox!!

+40 on a 8" rim means lots of clearance for big calipers...

Just cleaned road gunk off the HKS mufflers...
