I can't wait for spring...

to put these wheels on my ride (06 NBP) I had my own little valentines day present waiting for me when I got home, just delivered today! I think there gonna look sick!!!

I know somebody on this site has these rims, I beleive in 17's though, these are the 18's...now I just gotta decide if I wanna go with 225/40/18's or 235/40/18's...

Either way, I counting the days down untill April first, when I think I'm gonna put these on, and will definitley post pics once there on. BTW, sorry for the pic detail, I used my blackberry camera phone

BTW, I weighed these on my scale when I got home.... 17.5lbs on the money, but that was with the thin cloth cover over the face. I doubt that added more than .1lb though.

Is 17.5lb considered a lightweight wheel for a wheel this size? I wanted to go up to 18's, but also wanted a wheel that wasn't going to be heavy, and I just fell in love with these the first time I saw em.

those do look familiar
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ruffellprefley/331531315/
both chris_f (here) and i (here) have them (both 17x7.5, both cgp), though i should mention that i got them because of how badass they looked on his car.

they should look interesting on a nbp. can't wait to see em. they would look SUPER hot on a PWP (i kind of wish i'd have gotten PWP )

About a good 5 lbs lighter than stock.

ah, i stand corrected, then.

when i bought mine, they only had 17x7.5, so i assumed that all the 17"s were also 7.5

Yeah these are 18x8 with a +42 offset... now to decide should I run a 225/40 or a 235 40...

Nice wheels.

And definitely go with the 235 width for the tires.

just cause of the offset?

i personally don't like the tl-s wheels. the spokes are too "meaty" and they are probably heavier than stock tsx wheels (i haven't actually looked up their weights).

and now that i think about it, it annoys me when people say "those look like the new tl-s wheels" when it should actually be, "the new tl-s wheels look like the wedssport wheels"

oh well...

Yeah me to, these wheels are what the TL Type S is trying to look like...

BTW, Thanks for all the info from everybody on which tires to get.... looks like everybody is saying 235/40/18.... However I plan on getting Tein Flex or Tein CS soon, and putting those on with the wheels, should I still go 235/40/18 if I'm dropped???

Also, why does tirerack recomend a 215/40/18 tire for these wheels on my car???

Everybody has said 225 or 235, but tirerack is the only one who say's 215, anyone know why they think that???

^ I meant to say tirerack recomends a 215/45/18..... but still, why are they recomending 215 and everyone else says 225/235??? Is it just an error on there part?

run the 235/40/18 or you will be adding more miles than you really travel. The only up side to running 225s would be that your speedometer would tell you that you are going fatser than you really are... thus decreasing your chances of a ticket.

Those are gorgeous. Right now I'm torn between that exact rim, and the new RonJon Legend in satin black for my 04 CGP. Leaning towards the Weds. I expect to purchase within a month, as my bonus will be paid out on 3/8/07. Can't wait!

Congrats on the purchase.

Well, just got them put on today! I couldn't wait any longer LOL

They are wrapped in 235/40/18 BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWs

Just took the pics with my camera phone, so nothing fancy, but I will be doing a full detail and shoot soon, so I will post some better pics then!

Also plan on getting A-Spec Suspension next month, or maybe a set of flex or CS... just not sure how low I want to go.

I can live with the wheel gap for now, as the handling/crusing is vastly improved over stock. I feel just as connected to the road, and it actually feels better, ie less bumpy and harsh! These tires are somewhat loud, and I suspect they'll get louder as time goes on, but I don't think this rubber is going t last very long this summer ;-)

Hot. I love that wheel. A-Spec drop would look nice with that setup. And those tires are hot, they just got put on my "investigate further" list...

very nice.

17.5lbs is definitely lighter than the oem's.

although, for aftermarket comparison, i think volk ce28nf's are about slightly less than 14lbs @ 18".

ya, noise levels are a common concern for kdw owners (i was considering a set).

These pics don't do it justice... these wheels look HOTT against my NBP. I had only seen these on CGP before, and then on Sean's white (can't remember the color initials) but man it looks sweet on my car, would look much better if I was dropped at least an inch.

The rims are gunmetal, but have an almost purpelish hue to them... I'm glad I didn't get black rims... these are dark, but they go perfectly with the paint, I'm very very happy!

i agree they have a purpleish tint. but compared to my cgp, they only are really purpley right after a wash, when the wheels are super clean. if they get even a little bit of dirt on them, they seem just plan gunmetal

i based my purchase off my wife's interest in the TL-S wheel and your post, so i must thank you.

i guess we had to be different and hook up the NBP and PWP

These BFGoodrich KDW's have CRAZY grip... I know people said there to loud, but I've got Injen CAI/Comptech Headers/RT CAT/Comptech Exhaust.... so even those these tires are kinda loud.... I can't hear it LOL

But man they feel awesome. Granted it's still in the 50's here.... but they still hugged the road. I take curves at 60 and it feels like I'm doing 30, no body roll (I have a RSB though) but no squealing/ no slipping, just perfect gtrip. I really like the feel of these 18x8 ride rims and these tires... Call me crazy, but the car feels much more stable now then it did with the OEM 17x7? Big patchs of uneven road I can feel more than OEM rims/tires, but over small to moderate road changes, these are much smoother. Steering feels very nice.
