Can you tell us a step by step process on how you covered the lenses prior to painting. What did you use?

Thanks! I'll post some pics of night shots tomorrow. Right now I'm away and don't have my camera.

sure....

After you pull the assembly apart, take out all of the bulbs. Next you take masking tape/painting tape and run a strip along the bump in the silver housing. Then you mask off the rest of the bulb and spray. There's a pic on the first page that shows how I masked the headlight.

Your lights look good slobeatz, i love the blacked out look on the black car. My questions is, how hard was it to open the headlight. That is my biggest concern, as well as putting it back together so it is tight again. Can you give me some info on those two parts of the process. Also, how long did the whole thing take?

Thanks a lot.

i dont have a TSX, but i have a CL. and i cleared my lights. what you gotta do is put the whole headlight in the oven at about 250 degrees for 10 minutes. then you just pry it open with a flat head screwdriver. i wore gardening gloves and pulled at all the strands of silicone to keep things clean. putting them back together is simple: just lay down another coat of silicone on top of the old press together. pop it back in the oven for about 5-10 minutes then take it out and either clamp it together or sit on it for about 10 minutes to make sure its tight.

Cool...... I went to school in Troy (RPI), the apartments in the pics looked a bit familiar, that's why I asked.... heh

Maybe you can do my headlights later if I decide that i want to get it done...

That's the way you're supposed to do it. I didn't have an oven that was large enough in my apartment (stupid oven) So I had to use a hairdryer to pull the housing apart. Because of that, I decided to pull out most of the silicone that was originaly in the housing and put new silicone in when I re-sealed. I used new silicone because I felt that the hairdryer would heat the original silicone well enough to ensure a good seal. If you can do it the oven way, I would suggest it......much easier to pull the unit apart.
