it's definitely something from eclipse....could be on of the AVN models or the AVX..dont know which one though. i'm thinking about picking up some eclipse things since i can get it under employee accommodation, almost as good as alpine plus they're jdm

Eclipse AVN 5435

It was on sale for $799.99 and I couldn't resist it. Grabbed the last one on sale. Its cheaper than most of other indash dvd player without the gps navigation. I was surpirsed it doesn't have seperate brain unit like Alpine does. Everything is packed into two-din sized unit. Only thing I'll be missing from my Alpine IVA-D300 is PulseTouch and 7" scree.

its not that bad actually also its better than nothing. does anyone know how to bypass the Eclipse unit? information regarding alpine bypass mod is pretty easily found but non for Eclipse. hopefully its not linked to GPS sensor like Pioneer N2s..
