Fall 07 in Michigan

Hey guys, it's been a long time (for me lol)....
school started, getting busier...
sorry about Fog light module, jus didn't have time to take my car apart, take pics and upload a thread.... glad that someone did it recently and the thread is up.

Here are some pictures ... getting cold in Michigan

Had a chance to go to the University of Michigan Car show 2007

pics of ppl who got awards

It wasn't a big show. only about 60~70 cars showed up, and there were about 15~17 Asian Import cars

I was surprised that I won the First place in Asian Import section.
my first trophy, and it feels good !

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Had a little break from school, so we went to michigan Lake, about 4 hrs away from my campus Ann Arbor, MI

Friend's B7 a4 2.0T

lowered my car too much, and this happened finally....
had to go on a curb to avoid opposite traffic...had to happen....
btw, my japanese plate looks good on PWP

Had it for ~8 months, first time i actually used it on a trip (East Coast...there's too many cops on highway).

Trying to make it to Condo in Michigan Lake fast.... we needed to watch our Michigan game against Perdue... hell yea it was an awesome game.
It's interesting.... on I-75 most traffic run around 90~100mph.

it was a pretty good road condition. (I-75)

first shot of my Comptech SS exhaust. maybe the sound is too deep, my friends were complaining the whole time about its loudness around 80~95mph on highway. honestly, for me it was a bit loud too

trying to take some good pics with my new camera Sony DSC-H3.

now ran about 15000 miles. no problem with the car till now...

one interesting story to end my thread.
we were heading back, and somehow we were craving some KFC.
My Friend's A4 2007 navi weren't locating any KFC around, the other friend's Garmin navi not locating any KFC...

So i go to my navi ( ), go to direction while on route to home. go to Exit info, and see some exit rest areas... punch a couple rest areas, and i was able to locate a KFC on an exit that was about 19 miles away.
my friends didn't belive me, especially because when that exit sign came out on highway, there were BK, McDonalds, and ETc, but no KFC.
Me still trusting my Acura Navi ( ), we decide to set it as a waypoint on my navi, and take the exit out of the highway.
after following my navi for 0.8 miles, guess what we saw.... KFC!!!!!!!
it was actually between BK and McDonalds , which was pretty funny.
Now i experienced, and i know why Acura Navi Rocks!

1) your rims look pretty good in that one pic!.. i think i might keep mine and try to do gunmetal!
2) for ur exhaust i think you can get those quiet tips...
3) i also have sony dsc h5..
i found recently if you use a tripod! lol it makes ahuge difference esp at night
on your second pic i see u adjusted the exposure? when u do that. it takes a while to process all the light.. however if u shake. lol. the pic somes out like that.. u dont even have to shake a LOT. it just takes a while =/ you can see on my taking pix thread the differences w/ a tripod ;-)! https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40141

Sorry I forgot to mention I am thinking about purcahsing the replica grill off ebay, just wanted to know what do you do with the chrome/ plastic trim on the hood? do you colour match it? or take it off?

If I recall (can't see the pics at work) jaeshim has an 06+ which has no chrome trim on the hood. Your 05 does, so when you take your grille to be painted by the bodyshop, also have them match that strip for you. Easy as pie.

jaeshim, I always like the look of your car, so I'll make sure to check this thread when I get home - stupid firewall...

I am happy to see that you use facebook to display your pics, imagestation and photobucket are both blocked at work . This is a hint to all of you, use Google and/or Facebook to host pics.

Nice pics though. oh how I wish i was still in college (without the work of course)

thanks everyone for the comment
yea it's a great feeling winning a trophy on my car ..

by the way, yes i will try using tripodfrom now on,
and the mugen grill i have is NOT replica. it is authentic Mugen Grill for 06+ Accord i directly got from Japan. (there's a thread with picutre of my mugen grill shipped from japan)

the color is supposed to match JDM Honda Accord 06 +, and it is a JUST little bit different from PWP we have. however, i didn't paint my grill, it really looks the same.

Are those wider tires than stock? They appear to droop over the OEM wheels a bit more than normal. Also, are you running spacers? Looks great! Very nice OEM+ look.

o0o.. UoM... my cousin goes there too. I heard you guys get some pretty awesome winters.

Congrats on the trophy. I really like that Japanese license plate you got. If our license plates look like that then I wouldn't mind having a front license plate.

Hey, I finally remembered to check this from home, where I can see the pics. Three things come to mind.

1) Please lose the Euro R badge in the back if you're keeping it as an Acura!
2) Not feeling the cf gas door but I realize this is all subjective.
3) Your car would look amazing with 06/07 JDM headlights. If you do no other aesthetic mods, I'd do this one.

Overall, sick ride, and congrats on the trophy. Your car is looking great.

I hate to hate on a TSX, but with the black gas door, euro-R badge and black wheels, your TSX looks cheap next to the Audi A4.
