were you going with the aged look for both these pictures.
the first things that jump out at me with these is that they are a little on the dark side.
even if you are going for night photography you should still see the real red color and silver color of the car becuase that is the subject of your photo.
also on explaining white balance I dont think I can explain it well as I do a lot of by using test pictures and adjusting my white balance camera from that.

white balance is done on your camera before you take the picture. it depends on how colors come out of the pictures you are taking. if your camera can take pictures in RAW format you can adjust the white balance in photoshop a little bit.
