Dynamat

Dynamated the trunk about a month ago, and thought I'd post some pics. Big improvement, the upper trunk lid and back of the trunk really were having alot of vibration, this totally took care of that, and the bass sounds nice and crisp and clean, without any rattling/vibration detected at all.

Is there a spray version of that? I'm looking to do the same to mine so the doors sound more solid when I close them.

i did the same thing too when i first got my subs. i don't like rattling noise when the subs are hitting. especially when you can hear the rattle outside of the car. it feels cheap.

with added weight, trunk won't pop up anymore. it'll still unlatch the lock and pop up little bit.

once it gets warm enough im going to dynamat my doors and depending on what i decide to do with the stereo maybe the rest of the car, right now with the stock system there are parts of the door that really vibrate and get extremely annoying.
sound deadening is really worth it, my last car was a 2000 gmc jimmy and i took the entire interior out and sound deadened the entire body and used 2 extra layers on the wheel wells and it was so quit and reduce all of the vibrations and i had 2 12" subs in a custom ported box taking 1200 watts a piece

Dynamat is the only way to especially if have a sub or subs. I also did the doors and it makes the door sound more solid. It is pretty heavy, though I don't personally care. Don't forget to Dynamat the Door skins as well as the rear deck. The rear deck is key with subs.

There are other products similar to dynamat that will accomplish the same thing. I used Cascade Vmax on my doors. You can find info on it here:http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage....=72088991#vmax

BTW, our Audio & Video section has a number of threads on dynamat as well as other noise dampening methods/materials. If you have any questions regarding them you should search and ask them there.
