Custom-fitted ITR shift boot
Haven't seen this done on a TSX before, although one user in the past did have his significant other re-stitch the OEM boot.
Let me know what you think. Some won't like it, but I do, which is frankly all that matters. Fitment looks OEM and it's a subtle touch of color in the interior which matches the overall color theme of my TSX.
The next step is having my e-brake boot re-stitched to match...

I bought a DC2 ITR shift boot from jdmland.com and just kinda went to work. I took my OEM boot off and removed it from its bracket, and then in a very makeshift fashion, attached the ITR boot to the OEM boot bracket. This basically consisted of poking holes in the leather, folding it over, and putting the four mounting screws back in through the holes. Seriously, if you could see underneath the console, you'd laugh. But it's solid and looks fine up top! Sometimes you just need a little ghetto engineering.

Approval from the JDM master... nice. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm happy with the way it turned out. It was a $30 gamble and it paid off.

Wouldn't be hard. Buy a backup (or take out your OEM shift boot; you can drive without it for a few days), take it to an upholsterer. I'm sure they could handle it.

Let me help you!
When I was an avid accord forum user, the site http://www.redlinegoods.com was a sponsor. They could do custom boots...you just tell them how you want it.
I just checked, and they don't have a template for the TSX. However, they do have an offer for the guinea pig...they'll give you the shift boot for free if you give them yours and write up a guide with installation pictures.
I haven't been to the accord forum in years, but if they're still a sponsor, they usually have monthly discount codes.

except I gotta buy another one and re-do mine because i made it too tight on the bottom and every time i throw it in reverse or 6th it stretches too much and slides all the way down sucks. Warning to anyone who does this leave extra material towards the top for stretching.

Haha mine's fine in 6th but stretches slightly in 1st, 3rd, and 5th. It doesn't slide down or anything but you can see the boot collar come a little bit away from the knob itself. No biggy, not noticable.
