Clear bra installed!

Here's my first and best attempt at installing this. I had no help and it took close to 6 hrs. The bumper was the hardest since I had to stretch it close to 4 inches for it to fit properly. I didn't want to tear the thing so I did the best I can. The hood, fender and mirrors were very easy.

Nice job. This is definitely one DIY I wouldn't touch myself just for pure time + frustration reasons, and this is coming from a guy who learned how to install a suspension on his TSX in his driveway.

Props for getting it done.

I just started a thread asking people about how hard this install was so this helps me. I was only going to get the hood, fender, and mirror kit as the bumper seems to be the hardest and that will get messed up no matter what, plus its plastic so i'm not as worried about it. So this is something i can do myself then you think? Are you a perfectionist or anal about doing the install? And how long did it take you not including the front bumper? Oh yea, and where did you get it? Sorry for all the questions....lol

EDIT: It looks great from what i can see you btw

You definitely need the squeegie to get this done right. It all depends on how much confidence and patience you have. The fender, mirrors and hood was very easy and that probably took 2-3 hrs. The bumper inself took almost 3 hrs. If you have prior expirience doing window tinting, this is a similar job (I don't). I will recommend another person helping out in stretching the bumper. It's the 3M version and I got it off ebay ~$170.

Looks good. I kinda wish I'd had the cash to do it when the car was new. Even after 6 months and only 2700 miles ive got several nicks and dings in the bumper already. You pretty much either have to do it right away or not bother at all.

That is exactly why i think i'm going to get it. I have a few chips already and just hit 3k miles in 3.5 months! Fix them first and then put this bad boy on!!

The kit i was looking at said it came with all the install tools needed, so i hoped i could do it myself! 2-3 hrs is doable for me since i am not planning on the doing the front bumper! Price would be cheaper too for the non bumper kit, i think it might be worth it once i get the chips fixed! Thanks for the info

definitely a first mod that I overlooked. Now, every time I see a new member I tell them to get this as their first mod. After a couple weeks of owning my 07 TSX, I had a handful of chips already...

The install looks professional, great job!

Very well done. I'm a huge advocate for the clear bra. I installed it on my '04 when I first got it but my Dad didn't on his '05 TL. I'll take some pictures tonight when he comes home and you'll see what you MUST get the clear bra.

Is clear bra expansive? I didn't get it and I now have some stone chips in the front...bad decision.

Is it possible to remove stone chips? Also, is it too late to get clear bra once I have stone chips?

Thanks!

Nice job. Looks good. I have it on all of our cars and am very happy with it.

Sure, you can see it if you look for it, but it sure beats the chips on the front end.

Congrats on doing it yourself. I am too chicken to tackle it on my own. Plus I am so picky, I would probably not like how it looked if I did it, then who could I complain to???

You can put it on, even with chips, but the chips need to be touched up first before putting the clear bra on. Average cost for 3m material installed seems to be around $600-699 in my area (N.C.)
