ck123: I think a good all-around lense to start with is the Nikkor 18-200mm.

lcrazyaznl: I was using a fisheye lense in these pics(more specifically the DX AF Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED)

Ah nice I was looking into a narrow lens or they said a fish eye effect. I wasn't sure since i'm still new.

For a XTi, you're best to use the kit lense to fool and mess around with. In the ramblings section, there's a Photography section, which you can post and ask questions as well.
