Hey, does it ever bug you when you're tracing something how it looks like one line should go a certain way, but it doesn't quite on the real thing, because it's not perfect in real life? (yes, I'm weird....)

Well it's really your preference as to what type of artwork you're going to do. All my artists on my team at work use one as it's more natural if you're doing original art work. It's much more precise than any mouse. (at least for my clumsy hands) It'll also save your wrists as using the mouse to do a lot of art work will begin to strain after awhile.
You could use a pen to trace well. Just zoom in a lot on photoshop and you can be very precise with a pen. It doesn't seem as arduous a task as taking it on with a mouse. But that's my personal opinion. All this being said, I've never used one since I don't use photoshop enough to warrant the purchase of one.
