Carbon gray / AT / navi

Forum chokes and breaks long URLs, so I can't link the gallery directly.

1. Go to the directory
2. Scroll to bottom and click "view as an image gallery"
3. If you'd like, open up the Options and select the TSX theme

No, I'm the other skinny guy, in the dark green shirt and black slacks. I swear I don't normally look quite that skinny. :p

Hey, on color, sales guys kept telling me CG was (one of) the hardest to find. But on the forums, I see mostly SSM, probably followed by black, followed by CG. What's rare are the light blue (meteor whatever), deep blue, and the red, as far as I can tell. And if there are other colors, those must be really rare. What're your experiences on common colors?

I'm guess PWP is Pearl White Poopy or something like that. (Ah, Premium White Pearl.) The shipment of my CG got delayed a week by some white TSX they were waiting for at the harbor.

I saw MSM in person at a dealership and didn't like it. It looks sweet in the photos I've seen here, where it looks like silver with a blue tint, but there, it just looked powder blue. Maybe it was just the time of day or something.

By the way are you asian?
Yes and no.

Love the car!

Just out of curiosity, what made you decide on quartz vs. ebony? I have to (re)make a decision about the color for my new TL by tomorrow, and while I had originally ordered anthracite/quartz, I'm starting to lean more towards ebony...

Thanks...

I would've preferred ebony, but I wasn't willing to wait for one to come in. As it was, I had to wait just to get a carbon gray / AT / navi at all. I contacted every dealership in the SF Bay Area and the only responses were from a place saying they thought it'd be in within a few days (turned out to be about 10 days; that's where I got mine) and another from freakin' Pleasanton, which is just too damn far away.

Some people prefer lighter interiors because they don't heat up as fast (as much?) on hot days when you're away from the car.

Take it off? I'll consider it...

Edit: mcguyver, would you list your mods for us? Is that a DVD video system for the rear passengers?

yup, that's an IVES DVD for the passengers. It is capable of playing MP3 too, which is sweet. Got the 3 wireless headsets, but also capable of playing DVD/MP3 audio through FM channel. And of course the gaming input via the AUX jacks.

Other options:
-OEM body kit and spoiler
-Fog lights
-Upgrade RIMS
-tint 35%Front/30%back
-Navigation

TSX is pretty sweet for the price I think personally comparing to others in the same class.

I found a site called TinyURL today for just that purpose. Try this link:

http://tinyurl.com/mwws

That should go straight to your gallery. You can go to http://tinyurl.com to make your own.

mcguyver, how much did that run you? Any trouble getting it in?

Count Blah, that's cool. Maybe when I have some spare time, I'll write my own script to do that. Or I could just have a "links" page with a short URL somewhere and put in an HTML link.

dnl2ba - the DVD system is factory installed. I listed the options I wanted and they said they have one with everything I wanted except it has DVD in it. So I was negotiating as if the DVD didn't exist, but it normally run $2800 to have Acura install the DVD.

Wait, let me get this straight. You got the DVD player for free? And Acura installed it at the factory!?!? How'd you manage to land that?

Yup. The DVD was already installed at the factory. The only one on the lot. I said I wanted everything inside the car and body kit, color, the whole works. But I don't want the DVD, cuz I will never ever see it. So we start negotiating and I said I could wait for one without the DVD. But they really wanted to make the sales, so I got away with the free dvd system. Not exactly free dvd but that's relative I suppose.

:o

I probably wouldn't pay much for it, since I couldn't see it and I'd probably crash if my friends were playing Smash Bros. in the rear seat, but cheap or free is nice. I'm envious, too!

edit: Free is nice, not free nice. My nice will cost you.

Are you sure it was factory installed? All the dealers I've talked to have told me it's not a factory option, but a dealer installed one. The bodykit, etc are all installed at the dealer (never factory).
