In the link they have a blacklight (purple/blue) you think that is bright enough with 4leds for the dome? and what size are the trunk lights?

Instead of the domes or doors, I'd like to replace the ambient blue light by the HomeLink buttons with something brighter.

So…
What brightness is the stock bulb?
Can it be replaced?
If so, what different brightnesses are there?

The trunk is the same as the doors. But if you change that bulb it will be dim, unless you get a superwhite bulb or you do a neon change over like mine.

It can be done but it is hard. It is really involved. If the light ever went out they would just replace the whole Homelink unit.

I like those HyperWhites, especially in the domes. I may go with those in the domes and the blue like ortiz's/CAPS in the doors. Might need those domes to actually see/read something so I better leave them white.

I ordered the white ones for the domes and for the doors... definitely much nicer than the stock yellowish light... the light almost matches the white in the gauges... even my wife likes it surprisingly...

I bought the blue ones for the domes and doors also, and tried them out --they definitely look cool but for practicality they are definitely not reading lights.... so I stuck the white ones back in...

I received mine in 2 days...

JiggaMan I didn't post it incorrectly. If you are tring to buy superwhite leds from www.superbrightleds.com they don't sell them.

You can buy them from http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm

or you can get a super white Zenon bulb from http://discountleds.com/festoondome.htm

Either way works well if you want white.

I don't remember how long it took. I placed 5 seperate orders over 2 months because friends of mine wanted to do the same thing. But i don't thing it took too long.

The bulb is a 31mm long. Xenon bulbs are pretty bright.

And a correction on the web site it is suppose to be www.superbrightleds.com for the blue bulbs, not www.superbrightled.com. I forgot the "s". sorry

is where you can get some xenon highperwhites. still waiting for mine. i bought buy blue leds from superbrightleds.com and have already recieved and installed them and love the way they look. cheapest mod yet and well worth it.

nice pics........ well i finally got mine in took about a week, im in NY. Took me about 20min to install cuz i was really taking my time i was afraid i might crack something. Oh man at night the lights are soooooo HOT i love it, only thing is the interior domes arent as bright but good enough, good lookin guys!! Definate recommend!

Love the blue lights....awesome. Definitely going to get them for mmy doors. But I need everybody's help on something. I want to get new bulbs for my taillights. I want them to be brighter, especially the reverse (white) bulb so I am thinking about switching them to LED's hoping they would be brighter. So I guess what I am asking is, does anybody know if LED's would be brighter than the stock bulbs already in my car? I tried going to the Superbrightleds.com website and don't know which ones to look at...don't understand the codes ;P. Don't know if they even offer any....Can somebody PLEASE help me? Will they be brighter? Do they sell LED bulbs for the tsx tailights? Thanks for any help you guys give!!

I have all my tail lights (except the turn signals) with LEDs. I had to mod the reverse light a little because all I could find was a dual-stage LED config, but that just means pushing a wire across the bottom of the socket. The reverse and brake lights are not brighter by any shape of the imagination, but they do concentrate the light more directly. Personally, I LOVE the look of mine, though a buddy of mine tells me my brake lights aren't as distincly on as they used to be. The reverse lights, because they are mod'd to be total on are brighter, once again, directly in line behind me.

Here are the bulbs you'll need from Superbright leds
(you'll need to count to make sure)

Red 7443s (I think 2)
White 7443 (which you'll mod into a 7440 by pushing two wires around) (2)
Red 168/194 bulbs (I think 4)
White 168/194 bulbs (Use these for your license plate) (2)

In every case, get the largest amount of LEDs per bulb, so on the 168/194 bulbs, you'll be getting 6LED configs.

i finally got my lights i ordered white but its kinda bluish and its not that bight i ordred 6 led on the doors its cool but the dome one has 4 led superwhite from superlumination and again its kinda bluish and not that bright i need some bright ones for the dome. oh yeah and on the front dome light passenger side the cover is loose a little bit from prying and advice? thanks got the door lights on superbrightleds took only 3 days and ont superlumination 9 days

I've noticed this too, but I like it more and more. Have had mine for atleast 6 months (from superbrightleds.com) now and love it. I'm not a huge fan of extremely bright white because it kills my eyes at night. I think the 6LEDs are perfect for me.

I'm with Moda_way, the light just grew on me. I also have the blue neon under dash kit which is bright enough to see things, but not bright enough to distract you while driving.

I have had a problem. One of the little clips on the plastic cover may been bent. If so try to straighten out the plastic.

the matrix 25- LED lights. I know they are not the same code as the ones you mentioned but they also come in wedge and was wondering if you know that if it could fit in the rear lights since they are also wedge based. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks!
