Bad Wreck, '05 TSX (56k beware)
OK, just the facts. TSX making left turn across lanes of traffic, hit in right front 1/4 panel between right front tire and right front bumper. TSX speed about 10 MPH, Subaru station wagon speed about 40 MPH. Impact spun TSX 270 degrees. Four TSX airbags deployed (driver curtain and driver shoulder did NOT).
Subaru driver transported to hospital with "neck pain" general discomfort.
TSX driver (me, duh) went to hospital on own for left knee injury. No breaks, just BAD abrasion/contusion to knee cap. Also, significant right rib pain (hit center console, broke it) and normal seatbelt bruising. All in all, not bad considering. With the exception of a VERY sore knee, I walked (limped) away from it.
OK, the pics. Some are from scene (Treo 650 cell phone camera) and some from tow yard (Canon point and shoot digital). What do you think, totalled? Insurance looking at in next few days.
Heavy sigh.............
Just washed it two days prior as well....

That's a total loss, wonder why your driver side curtain airbag didn't deployed hmm. But the positive is that you got no major injuries. Wonder how the subaru driver is doing??

Maybe it detected the impact from the passenger side? Im still wondering why the driver side curtain didnt deploy? Imagining things in my head I would assume driver head position would whiplash first towards the impact (passenger side) then back towards the drivers side window which the airbag should cushion?
Glad to hear you're ok and not seriously hurt. Glad you didnt break a knee or rib.

Major Bummer.
By the look of the pictures, I'd say it's twisted. The people part looks square but the rest shows signs of torque stress. Cut the best deal you can, I think there's a good chance she's history. BTW I have the same NHB combo. Tough to look at ...

Unless he had a green left arrow and the Subie ran a red.

Hey man,
Sorry to hear about the car. I'm glad to hear you're holding up ok.
Unfortunately, AZ laws state that the one taking the left turn always are at fault, even if the other person ran a red. My coworker was in the same situation, SUV ran a red and T-boned her Kia, but their insurance won't pay for the car because of that law citing her at fault.

Wow. Glad you're okay, that car is a total, or at least I'd ask that it would be.

Thanks guys for the sentiments.
Yui is right, in AZ left turn is ALWAYS at fault.
With respect to the part-whores (lol), the car was towed to some tow yard 100 miles away!! Not a rip off, just the contract tow company that the PD uses in that area. So i will not be driving there to remove any parts from the car. I thought about at least getting the NAV DVD, but the battery was disconnected, and I didn't have a paper clip.
Insurance will be looking at it Monday probably.
If it is totaled, you guys think should go '06 TSX, or look at an IS250? I REALLY LOVED the TSX and my chief complaints about the 05 were fixed in the 06, so I am leaning toward toward making the replacement be the fourth Honda I have owned. Any thoughts?

I mean who's gonna pay for it ?
Anyways, I'd appreciate if you let me know the name of the yard it's towed to.
Bacially I'd like to know where it's going to end up
