Do me a favor, and right after it rains pretty hard put your driver window down and then back up and see if you have any water on the inside of your window. It will look like its on the outside of the window, but touch it and see if the inside of the window is wet and let me know. Thanks

Well, I dont think its going to rain pretty hard again. But what if I wash my car with a pressure washer? That will have the same effect as a hard rain right. Ill be in LA this weekend. So Ill do it next week. I will also take pictures too. The 50 fronts and 20 rears looks normal. You wont get harrass for having the fronts as dark as the rears. Its light enough so they can see the driver.

LOL thats funny. That is actually my mothers business. She does dog grooming as you can see. She chose grooming because she loves animals. Speaking of animals, that is her RDX.

Does Andy's Window Tinting have a waiting room of some sort? Or did you wait in the garage? Did he have a tv or magazines so you could keep yourself preoccupied while he works? I live near Andy's tint shop, so I might go.

He let me wait and watch him in the garage but people usually just drop the car off and come back in 2 hours. No Tv No Mag but he had interesting posters on the wall with the U.S tint laws for every state. Go he is great, give him a call first so he can make an appointment with you.

Does he guarantee his work? I live less than a mile away from him. I tried tinting my car myself, but the rear window is a pain.

Yeah, it is a lifetime guarantee as long as the problem is tint related. Such as a defect or a rip, peel, fade. Anything that would be his fault or the tints is under the guarantee. I tried tinting a truck I had before and it sucked, so hard without the right tools. I noticed you said a mile away and that must mean you live in Clifton, is that right? I also notice you are 23 years old and that is the same age as me. There is a good chance we know each other. Did you go to Clifton High or live in Clifton?

I made an appointment with Andy. $120 for the rear windows I was hoping to get it done today, but he doesn't work Sundays. He is Polish, my dad found his ad in a Polish newspaper. Plus I could tell he has an accent. I went to Clifton High, class of '01.

First off, I do not drive an Acura.

I have my scheduled weekend trip from PA to NJ and decided to search for tint shops within the area. I chanced upon this forum. I am truly very grateful that I found it. Andy's Window Tint is 7 miles away from me. I had my 2006 Galant tinted with 20% all over yesterday. The job was awesome, very professional. Paid $180 + 7% NJ tax using visa.

I just want to express my outmost gratitude for posting the info. Thank you.

Thanks.
Those are pinstripes I bought from Advance Auto Parts. Pepboys, Autozone and the likes also carry them. I installed them myself coz' it cost $$$ to have someone do it.

I don't know who he is. But I think I've heard that name before. Something happened to him?

Same here. I do not own an Acura. I have a Mustang. I was searching online for a tint shop and found relik2004's post. I had some questions/comments so I registered here. His post convinced me to make an appointment with Andy's tint shop. I knew of Andy's Window Tinting before from searching locally online, but I wasn't sure if this tint shop was any good, and I didn't realize how close he really was. I was considering Top of the Line Tint in Lodi. But I will probably save money going to Andy's Window Tinting.

Top of the Line popped out, too, when I searched. I'm at my relatives in Lodi when I visit NJ.
Relik2004's post somehow convinced me to try Andy. I called up Friday...Saturday my car's done!
One shop here in PA quoted me $275 for the same job.

Less than an hour. The surface must be very clean. It is an easy peel and stick job, however, getting it straight is kinda time consuming because its way down low, and I'm relying on my eyeballs..no special tool.
You can backtrack, peel back and stick again, if you see bubbles because the adhesive does not set very quickly. Just be careful of not stretching it.

It's 20% on direct sunlight.
Relik2004 has done a really good job giving the info on the 1st page of this thread.
I waited slightly less than 2 hours in his backyard which has a little nice shade... perfect for zzzzz...ing.

I can not say anything that could seem as though I am advertising for him because I was already warned by a moderator. If you are interested I know he has a website. Its 15 percent tint and I love it. Not to dark or not to light. DARK at night but not on the inside.

I was wondering what did Andy do with the dot matrix? A lot cars have dot matrix. My car has several inches of it on top of my rear window. And tint will not stick to dot matrix.

Mine is extremely small, it’s about a quarter of an inch so he put it right over it. I am lucky but you can still see it won't stick to it. It almost gives it a boarder look to it.

Mine has approximately an inch of the dot matrix that was not covered. It seems a pretty nice dot boarder.

I guess he'll have to leave the dot matrix out on mine. Should I clean my windows?. But I assume he cleans them too. All this pollen is causing havoc. I'm worried there is going to be specks of dust in the tint.

I know he's gotta clean it thoroughly, however, I went to a car wash just right before I went to his place.

I remember wiping out all those pollen one day and now I'm more than a week suffering of allergy symptoms.

He cleaned mine really good and even used filtered water in the solution. It should be fine.

I am loving my Tint, my eyes don't hurt anymore from the light at night and it looks so good. I am very happy I got it done finally. I love how it is extremely dark at night but you can still see through a little during the day.

I drove up and down RT 46 looking for a good tint shop because I did want to get the best for the money and we all know how tinters usually just slap it on and call it a day. I have had 3 cars tinted and this guy I found on Sunday was the best. I will forever go to him with every car in the future.
Well, I gave up looking at the various shops and started driving home. I remembered this place I saw while looking for tint shops in NJ and it was called Andy’s Window tinting. I drove by the address, which happens to be his house, and saw him outside with his daughter... Who just coincidentally bought a 2007 TSX two days ago... so I got out and asked him if he could tint my car. He said sure and the price was 180 for cash and 220 for card. When I looked into his garage I noticed it was a tint shop! Andy had a tint shop set up in his 2 car garage and he also took credit cards! I was like this is amazing so I decided to give it a try and said go for it, remember this was Sunday.... Nice guy. He let me watch the whole time and he said it would be 2 hours (I thought this was amazing because all of the other places said 3 to 4 and that I couldnt watch. He did it in exactly 2 hours on the dot). He had all the right tools and man he was fast. He even used filtered water with the spray solution for the tints. I checked every window when he was done and ALL the bubbles were out, it looked as though the tints were sprayed on! I was very impressed so this is the reason why I am writing this long thread because I can't stress it enough that this man knows his shit. I highly recommend him and he has done over 30 TSXs, templates and all. It has been 4 days and The tints look great and are cut perfectly. Here are some pics of the job. It is not very detailed but I can assure you that there are amazingly no flaws in the tint job. He has a website and is located in Clifton NJ right by the high school. You can get his address from his site. Oh yeah, he does commercial and residential tinting also. Johnson’s tints (Only the Best). Alright... I can go on all day about this guy and how happy I am with my tints but I will stop now. If you are in the NJ, NY area and are looking for a great tint job this is your man to see. I have heard horror stories from people but this guy is definitely worry free. Later all.

Let me Know what You Guys Think...
Nice... I just had a question about tint jobs. When you roll down the window a little is there a untinted strip. Just wondering. Also where is this tint guy located Looks like a great deal. How far is he from Philly. Hope to here from you soon. AK

There is an untinted strip but that is normal. I believe it is like that so when it jams into the molding at the top of the door to seal it doesnt unpeal or scratch. You can't see it unless the window is rolled down. When it is closed it is not seen like most tint jobs. You can check out his website and mapquest the address if you are interested.
