got them at http://www.dav-electronics.com/leds.htm. i got the ultra bright blue lights. there $4 each and they are super bright!! i tapped into the VSA and Heated Seat buttons in the car. wires are red/black for power and black for ground. the wire colors are the same for every button that's lit in the car. be creative and have fun...

Some of you may wish to wire these up to your "door" lights. This way when you have the lights at the "door" position. The footwell lighting will light up with the door lights. Also when you have the door lights to "on" it'll light up the footwell lights too.
I had those on my 4runner that i had to install. Just run the wires up there, and solder the leads to each end of the light bulb contacts.

bngu1,

Looks pretty cool....IMO it looks more subtle than the neon tubes many people put in. Close to the new RL mood light.

How many LEDs do you have in each side?

Looks great. So did you just mount each one up under the dash/seat with the beam pattern directed down at the floor space?

that's what i did with the front. you have to be a little creative and find a spot that you think is best for the light. that's a personally preference i think. the back is kind of tricky. oh another thing i forgot to mention is you have to shave the tip off the LED so the light will scatter around. grind the round tip off the LED otherwise it will just shine like a spotlight.

can you link to the exact bulbs you used, and clarify this grinding business IE what did u use and what should it look like afterwards?

also, howd you attach em, and where are they hooked up to? got a switch or something?

sorry, i'm curious. haha. it looks so nice and i really want to do it too.

yes, please include more info on the grinding.....i thought an LED would be a spot light type of application, so you must be doing something pretty important to get it to shine like that

Thanks....i would like to order these today.

the lights are on when your lights are on; parking or headlight. it will stay on as long as your lights are on; all of them.

I'm pretty sure 1 per area will be fine. More than that, it'll be too bright + distracting to drive at night..

I don't think i will have them on all the time, I will hook them up to my dome lights so they turn on when doors open and dime out after a while.
