ABP Car rig shot

So guys I just built a car rig so ill be doing some more shots for people in the ny/nj area.

I suck at photoshopping the rig out so i'm going have to pick up a few lessons as i do more shots

12 foot emt pole divided into thirds and coupling at 2 ends
tokina 11-16 2.8
d300 no grip since its a bit heavy
3 manfrotto super clamps
2 f1000 avenger suction cups
1 manfrotto magic arm

how the rig looks like

It does scare me too but i took my time with everything. Removing the pole so i would not smash my own windshield out.

Made sure my camera was off the mount whenever I wasn't there watching or not taking a shot.

man its some serious business but it has some great results I need work on photoshopping the rig.. haha

very nice. cropping can be a PITA when removing rig setups but practice makes perfect.

questions: are you shutting off the engine before taking the pic? are you using a wireless remote? how fast are you traveling when taking the pic?

For this i am putting the car in neutral on a flat surface.

So i just left the car in neutral and shot at 2 seconds and 10 second time to push the car let it settle out and then the picture clicks.

If i had my friend with me i'd try the driving at slow speeds but I think the engine would still cause too much vibration I wasn't going to try by myself though.

Yea this was all done bymyself so the angle and pushing was a bit lacking I was afraid my camera would fall, but when i get a friend to help me shoot tonight or tomorrow it should come out better.
I get more angles to play with.

also pushing the car with a 10 second time is not easy the tsx is quite hard to get to move the first few seconds haha...

updated we tried some slow driving around a corner

took some peoples advice and mounted it on the windshield and tried for lower angles.
note to self going to stop shooting tree backgrounds cuz they make some ugly blurs I spent 20 mins fixing blurs that wasnt even from the rig haha...

my own car in action =)

Next time going try some night shots was going tonight but it looked like it was going to rain.

Looks pretty good. With the slow driving, what shutter speed did you use?

A little less than one full second for the shots before.

The shots here are done with a circular polarize stacked on a Hoya nd .6 filter nx4
Taken at 1 second - 1.5 second.

Yo, if you need help, I'd be willing to come out to do some rig shots and assist you. I've always wanted to do/help out on some shots. I'm in Brooklyn.
