Nah, I don't know why everybody said they did. Did it say it on the Acura website? Sorry I'm a NOOB.

I think it was a bit misleading on the website. Because I thought so too, but I checked and they are H1's i think. But definetely not HID's I could tell. I think the website never said Bi-Xenons. All it said was that you had Xenon's for the low beam and high beam, meaning you had the low beam xenons on when you turned on the high beam. I'm confused too, I thought they gave me an '06 by mistake, but the manual says 2007 and it states in there that no Xenons are on the high beam.

I even ran the VIN number just to make sure and it is a 2007. Even states in my Allstate insurance as 2007. I was surprised too.

Congrats, dude! I have the same combo but Auto. Soooooo glad I saved some moolaah by buying an '06 in October if the only difference is TPMS.

I sort of wish Id waited for an 07 (for the better resale factor) but got lazy when I saw the dealer had the exact combo I wanted on the lot and was willing to deal.

I don't blame you, I just couldn't find a 2006 CGP with NAVI and 6SPD in CALI.
So I was stuck, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten an '07. People really like the color and style, already gotten compliments. These are some really nice cars whether it be 2004 or 2007.

What kind of TPMS is it? Is it like the RL where it is a constant Psi reading for each tire, or does it just tell you when it's low?

Well it tells you how much PSI each tire is at and it will alert you when a tire is low. Anybody know what happens when I wanna get rims? Can't just throw any rims on this sucker, right?

yes but you'll most likely lose the TPMS system, unless you get wheels that you can adapt it to...

my buddy got an 07 mustang, the car came with aftermarket 20's from the ford dealer, and the car has an "error" reading all the time...

I've never seen a TPMS system on any car that didn't fail after about 20k miles or so. Let's hope Acura can do a better job than Nissan and Toyota.

No DRLs and Bi-Xenon huh?

Once again Acura lists something on their webpage that the car doesn't have.

Oh well...Acura doesn't need that stuff on the TSX to make it a very nice car. They just need to be careful not to make a bad name for themselves by listing things on their webpage that their cars doesn't have. My and I bet alot of people agree after that Music link issue with the 2006's. (Which they will be correcting which is awesome since the company follow through regarding buyer issues)

I'm pretty sure bi-xenons were never actually listed as a feature. There was wording that was a little vague (that was also the same wording for 2006 literature) that some people interpreted as such and spread.

Opps my mistake. I see what you mean.

But the DRLs "feature" is listed on the webpage.

Go to www.acura.com -> TSX tab -> Features & Options -> Safety & Security -> Lighting and Visibility (Overview) [click on that main heading]

dank2hydro does your 07 have the auto-on headlights feature?

I'll check again to make sure, I didn't know it said it on the website. I'm gonna go over the manual again too. If it don't have it in there than that is false advertising. I could understand the Bi-Xenons thing but this clearly states it on the website that it has DRL's. First time I saw that.

Could be a false advertising suit against Acura if the DRL's were advertised but aren't really present. I thought I've read that some auto insurance companies offer a (likely mild) discount for vehicles with DRL. One could argue that they specifically bought an 07 instead of an 06 to get that.

I remember reading that Mazda had a big issue a years ago when the released the RX-8. I'm not sure if were just people that prepurchased, but apparently the announced horsepower was less than what was finally delivered. I think owners had the option to get an extended warranty for free, or to get a full buyback of their cars.

One issue would be if the monitor (part of the valvestem and inside the rim) can physically be removed from the factory rims and installed on the new ones.

Next issue is the tire pressures themselves. I'd assume that the factory sensors are configured for specific pressures: what is normal, what is high, what is low, etc. That would likely change going to not only different tires but different rims. It would be nice if they were values in the ECU that reprogramming could change.

Oh wait a minute!!

Go to www.acura.com -> TSX tab -> Features & Options -> Safety & Security -> now under the "Lighting and Visibility (Overview)" heading click the sub-heading "HID Headlights" and read away...

Does it mean the hi-beam halogens where replaced with the early style HID lights like we are accustom to see on the last generation RLs?

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, but Honda/Acura really needs to be careful about what's on their webpage so people don't bash the brands when they are disappointed due to their advertisement.

DRLs only come on in Drive or Reverse in a 5AT, or with the parking brake off in 6MT.

That text hasn't changed. The HIDs just stay on when the halogen hi-beams come on.

The same should apply for the automatic with regards to the parking brake. With the parking brake engaged, DRLs should remain off. With the parking brake off, the DRLs should come on.
