06 NBP w/blacked out widow trim

Here are some pictures of my 06 NBP with the chrome around the windows and the chrome on the door handles blacked out. I also have the chrome around the grill blacked out, but I've put those pics up before. I used blackout tape which came out pretty good exept for three small bubbles that aren't that noticable.

I am also waiting on my Tein Basics to come in which I ordered last week.

I used TrimBrite blackout tape. I bought it off of autobarn.com because I could not find it in any auto part stores.

It takes two packages to do the whole thing with no errors. I had to buy a third package because when I started I had a lot of bubbles and had to redo two peices. I would get three packages just to be safe.

it seems like you have tinting on the Taillamp + Headlamp sides

i saw those products from Ebay, are they the tinting film type from ebay ?

or are they done by tinting spray?

any recommandations?

Wow...that looks really slick.

Now all you need to do is tint the turn signal mirrors and the front parking lamps and you'll be totally stealth.

I already have 3 packets of TrimBrite tape sitting in my closet waiting for some 60* or warmer weather to do this on my CGP. I bought them in November... stupid cold CT weather. Great look on your ride, very nicely applied.

I also plan to get RockBlocker tint film for heads, tails, and mirror turn signals. Combine that with some black or gunmetal 18's, and I'll be as stealth as it gets without having a NBP.

Your car looks great!

First of all thanks for all the comments. I am glad everyone likes it.

As for all the questions:

Here is a link to a page where I got the idea from and it is kind of like a DIY guide.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/650229/7

I think the tape only comes in black or chrome but I am not sure if there are other colors ou there.

The tints I used on the lights are from Lamin-X and I have the tails and front corners smoked and the fog lights with yellow tint. I noticed in these pictures that the fogs didn't look yellow but they actually are in person.

I have thought of tinting the turn signals on the mirrors but haven't gotten to it yet. Im working on getting coil-overs right now.

Here are two more pics with the lights off so you can see the tinted lights better.

( P.S.- These pictures dont have the chrome blacked out, but I will post the finished product when I get my coil-overs installed.)

Are you using black tape? Or were you able to find something that matches CGP. I'm just wondering because I'd like to do this to my front grill, but I don't want to do it in black tape.

I'm going to be using black tape. I think it'll look great to black out the chrome window trim. I am not sure about the grille, though - that might not look great. I'll try it, but if I don't like it, I'll leave the grille chrome for now.

It took about hour and a half to two hours to do the whole thing. I thought it was holding up good until yesterday when I noticed that the tape seems to be shrinking or something. I put the tape on my door handles and now I can see some chrome around the edge. I think its either shrinking in all of the sun or maybe someone messed with it.

looks great but that is one of the reason I didnt bother to do that. Soon or later they will come off so I didnt feel like wasting money and time. I hope it last long time for you..
