The gasket will not the K24 intake manifold is different than the K20, don't know about the rest

^ I doubt the header fits as it's made for a K20... unless you get a Euro R cat, I think. I ain't too familar with the mechanical part of the CL9. I know people have fitted a Header made for a K20 on a K24 before, with some adjustments. You can PM JTSo .

as for the Mugen Thermost, it will fit. Not too sure about the oil pan though, because I saw a deal on it as well...but no use for me.

I wouldn't mess with the thermostat. The Honda engineers that designed our engine intended it to run in a very specific temperature range at which it will operate best. If you use the lower temp thermo/fan switch without ECU reprogramming, the engine will never warm up completely and will run rich, negatively impacting fuel economy. It might damage your cat over time as well.

As for the header...that thing is designed for a 2.0 liter engine, so I'm not sure how well it would work, even if it fits. A few other people have talked about getting various exotic race headers for the K20 block (TODA makes one as well) but nobody has ever proven how well they work in a K24 engine with honest dyno testing. Until then, I wouldn't waste your money.

Not sure about the head gasket, but it should fit at least, as the K20 and K24 use the same head. Not sure how the rise in compression will affect things. Not sure about the FPR either. I would imagine the oil pan would fit; there isn't much difference between the K20 and K24 bottom ends.

A race header doesn't use a cat, so if it bolted up to a CL7/9 exhaust you'd be fine

oops, correction, I thought that was a Mugen intake manifold gasket, not a head gasket. No idea if it'll work or not

you sure you want to get a race header (no cat)? it will most likely cause you to fail inspection and your car will be illegal to drive.

I am just making a want list. I'll most likeley get this after the warranty expires but not sure yet... I still have a long way to go. Over here in miami they stopped doing emissions test so I dont have to worry about that but I still have to look out for the police....

My friends with modded-looking cars often have the cops looking underneath their cars when they get pulled over. You have lots of cosmetic mods on your car so it might be a worry for you, but the penalties range from like a $75 ticket to impounding your car depending on where you live so it may or may not be a big deal for you.

Note that you might not get huge benefits from a race header over a normal header and high-flow cat, either. The RSX folks apparently need the race headers because there's not enough room for a proper header that bolts onto their stock cat or something -- non-race headers only give them a few hp whereas we can get much bigger gains with normal headers especially with a highflow cat.

A race header also will generally need a tune to produce tangible improvements, especially on engines that have VTC. With a stock or reflashed ECU you are probably better off with a regular header and high flow cat anyway.

Well I don't want to shatter your dreams Just trying to help you get the maximum performance (especially for your money, that race header is expensive!) at a minumum of hassle.
