Where to get the k&n air filter in GTA?
With yesterday hot & humid weather in Toronto, my car drove really sucks with the icebox! It likes driving with the hand brake on before 3k rpm. Did ne of you guys with icebox feel that too? I think I need the K&N air filter badly!

Hey ian, i think you can get Canadian Tire, or any local Acura dealer, to order it.
I don't think the K&N filter would fit inside the icebox, unless you plan to swap back to stock.
Why would K&N filter help though..? I thought the icebox was designed to pull cold air behind the front bumper.
I am currently using the stock box with a Spoon drop-in filter, and my car does feel sluggish below 3K when the A/C is on.

Eceryone say that the form filter from comptech is really sucks, so I think the K&N one should solve it. Wasn't the latest icebox will able to fit k&N filter? Before I have the icebox, my car still drive ok with ac on and very hot weather but yesterday, it was really really sluggish on low rpm!

Why don't you try the stock filter with the Icebox first. TinkySD says the K&N won't fit unless you modify it. Others, I've read, said that it will. So, I guess you can buy it, try it, and return it if it doesn't fit.

I put the stock paper filter on the icebox and it is way better now! if the stock paper filter can fit prefectly, so the k&n filter should fit too, right? it should be a oem replacement, right?

After I put the stock filter on the ICEbox, the problem solved but now it is very loud on low end. Will the k&n able to solve this? Now, it ruin up the reason for getting icebox! If I can accept that kind of noise then why not go for injen!

It is an exact replacement of the OEM filter. When i say exact, i mean EXACT. The only difference is the material they use, but to me, it seems like the same too. I don't think is worth the money...... No noticeable performance change either
On a similar note, when i was installing my icebox, i notice you can't put an OEM type filter in because it is too thick and it will hit the inlet horn that is integrated into the comptech lid. Does a K&N filter fit inside the comptech lid???????

Owner of a new 05 TSX Graphite. Doing some research on K&N filters. Came across this on the internet, which basically indicates K&N filters allow more air to pass, but at the expense of letting more dirt through.
Testing seems fairly unbiased and scientific. In reading this article, it would seem the K&N would provide minimal beneifts at the potential risk of a lot more dirt passing through.
Any thoughts?
