when to get a hondata and a CAI

Hi all,
I just got my new 06 TSX (sold my 04 and 05)... I would like to install an Injen CAI and a Hondata refleash.

Now the question is, what's the minimum mileage I should wait for in order to complete these upgrades? So far I have 200 miles on the car and I'm dying to try the hondata...

Is this too early?

I would wait until the car is broken in(600 miles.) You only have 400 to go! Although you could get these mods now, as long as you don't rag on the car while its not broken in yet.

3 TSX's? Nice!

I agree with kwjustin89, properly break in the car before modding it.

IMHO you can start modding anytime. But if you do, will you be able to restrain yourself and continue with the proper break-in? I don't think I could, so if I were you I'd wait, like kw and Dan said.

I would at least drive it for like 1,000 miles. Maybe even more. You want to get some good experience behind so that it will help you recognize and appreciate the difference that Hondata makes.

The service manager at South Bay Acura told me that as long as they do the work (i.e installing), the warranty will not be affected. He also mentioned that they will only install Comptech parts... . That dealership is also where i got my Hondata reflash.

You may want to ask your local dealer as i am not sure how valid his claims are outside of that particular dealership.

don't think I need much more experience... It's my 3rd TSX. I think I know how it drives

I own a Comptech SC NSX, I'm not hoping the TSX will become a rocket... Just make the TSX a bit more peppy...

Thanks for the input guys.

Get the mods immediately, the more time to enjoy them. And 3 TSX's?
