Question What would you do?

What's up A-zine? So here's the deal, I'm starting to get out of money watching mode so now i can look into spoiling the car again after some time . the way things are lining up I'm looking at maybe getting some rims next/soon and I've settled on these: http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-527-Wh.../52788542n.htm
What's bugging me however is what I'm going to ask you guys to help me make a decision on. There are two sizes I'm interested in. 17x8.25 with +25 offset, and 18x8.75 with +20 offset. What I'm stock on is the weight of the sizes; 19.8 for the former, and 21.2 for the latter. Would you rather go for the slightly heavier rim for the bigger footprint and skinnier sidewall, or the lighter with slightly less width and a bit more rubber on the side?

I guess ask yourself are you looking at form before function or vise versa. I never plan on 'racing' my car and didn't care about losing a few seconds off my on ramp time, so I bought 19's.

IMHO, I think 17's are too small for a TSX so I personally would go with the 18's.

Function is exactly what I'm getting at. Will the lighter unsprung weight yield better/worse benefits as the skinnier sidewalls and wider wheels? Which would offer better overall performance/dynamics?
