Cool wanting an additional 25-30 hp and more torque

Ok Im new here here is my question. I don’t own a TSX now but I love this site real informative. You guys/girls cover so much about the car!! My question is this I want to buy a TSX but I see the hp with torque numbers lower than I like. My goal is a TSX with around 25 extra hp and 14 lbs/ft of torque bringing the car to around 225 hp and 180 lbs/ft of torque

Could I achieve this by adding a these things
CAI
Headers
Hondata reflash
And underdrive pulleys

I don’t want an exhaust if I could get these numbers without the added noise of an aftermarket cat back system. I know it will help with HP but Can I get these Horsepower & torque numbers without it. ??? Im just not a fan of the added noise some of these aftermarket muffler systems add but will consider it if I can’t get these power numbers
Thanks
Oh And I am looking at purchasing a 2005-2006 model if this helps

You'd get about half your goal on the HP side with those - maybe 3/4, but only if you sub the CAT out for a freer flowing one - something like a 100 cell sport cat.

06 6MT with your current list will get you pretty close. The advantage with the 06 is the S/C option down the road (you will replace the pulley and eat the cost of Hondata).

There is always Hytech and replacement of the cam and reflash, you could get 200-210 lbs of tq with them, still stick with 06 6MT.

Oh ok well cams forgot about those that would be a big help. What is hytech though??

so cams and reflash should boost my torque to over 200 from 166 is that right ??? if so thats exactly what Im looking for

I believe Hondata will strike a better price if you've bought their stuff before.

As for the original question, CAI, Header, RT Cat, Cat Back, Hondata, and pullies will easily get you the +25 whp.

These alone will run you $2500 if you install them yourself. Without the pullies, my 04 TSX 6MT is putting down 195whp and 164ft lbs at the wheel with a luke warm engine bay. I'll be doing the flywheel from Fidanza (very soon) and possibly pullies if I can sneak them past the wife. Either way, I'll be over 200 whp soon.

There is a Hytech Kit from MrHeeltoe that will turn your motor into a beast assuming applicability to the 07 model.

EDIT:

Stay away from the 05 5AT. I'd say go with the 2006 model, 6MT. That motor is improved over the 05 and will bet up on my 04 with the same mods.

Yes, look into purchasing a 2006 if at all possible. There were a number of small improvements over the 04/05 series.

Hitting the HP numbers is pretty easy. Getting more torque out of this motor without substantial expense is very difficult.

Start saving up and look at the Hytech GrandAm 1 package that Mr. Heeltoe has put together. That should net you the type of power and torque you're looking for, but look to spend a hefty sum to get it.

Sorry I never said it before The one I want is absolutely a MT I would never even entertain the idea of an AT in a TSX not my cup of tea.

I will look at an 2006 but MT all the way.

What is Hytech?? is this an exhaust system I want to try everything possible before adding exhaust. Like I said if I can get my Hp and torque without an exhaust I will do it that way for sure.

Actually, I thought the Grand Am Stage 1 was only $4.5k? I thought the full Grand Am package with 310whp was $11k.

Honestly, if I lived in a more mod friendly state and had an extra $15k to $20k, I would be more than willing to pay to upgrade a TSX to the full Grand Am spec motor with some upgraded transmission pieces as well. I cannot even begin to imagine how sick that car would be.

That brings the total Stage 1 price to over $5k...

Yeah a few thousand I know the hp ans torque is almost guarenteed then but really 5 k .

If i Can do it for 1800 for parts (CAI, header, pulleys, reflash) Im good to go. My mechanic is very familar with the TSX. His shop works ONLY on Honda/Acura vehicles and he is more about performance than just fixing cars and getting them out the door.
Put these parts on and and pray fro some sweet numbers off the dyno whenever I do this mod I will put the dyyno sheet up right away.

if we only didnt had dbw or we could make it more responsive somehow that will make a whole new car itself
the engine itself (06-07 revision) is capable of 215+hp 165+tq on swapped cars with I/H/E kpro.

i/h and reflash will surely get you close to the 200hp 160tq a higher flow cat or just a test pipe will give you plenty, a better exhaust as well but i am with you on the noise.
