There was a thread back, I think Xizor painted something in his engine bay. Search for it. I'd do it, but I'm too busy with a stuffed nose. Thanks.

It's called a valve cover, and yes you can paint it. I painted mine on my DC5. Just be sure to clean it very thoroughly with rubbing alcohol first. Spray paint will work just fine. May just want two or so coats.

the thing that says i-vtec is the intake manifold cover. the thing w/ the A on is the spark plug cover. the valve cover is the large gray piece of metal under the spark plug cover.

Look you don't really have to do all that, I would really recommend that you do though. He primed and sanded the piece so that the paint would stick and would be layed on evenly. If you just spray paint them the paint might run if you over apply, or it may even end up rubbing off with time, weathering ( maybe) or just from the engine dust and from cleaning it.

clean it with rubbing alcohol and then use that Krylon Fusion paint... it adheres really well to plastics and won't chip or fade... some friends used it a few years ago, and it's holding up really well... even scratches don't rip that stuff off...

The wheels are not painted white. I just had a detailing done by them and thought good time for a picture. But white wheels on a white car are awesome and u should go for it.

dang! that is one dirty ass engine bay. If you got time to paint your value cover then you should have some time to clean your engine bay. It will look much better

nice job! did you paint the nuts on the engine black, I can't remember if that's how they come stock, but IMO the silver ones used for the intake manifold cover look better. i bought 4 more of those and replaced those

hit the local auto store and buy a engine bay cleaner. It should under $10 and it cleans it pretty well.
