tried installing icebox into my 07 yesterday
basically tried to do it without bumper removal, but couldn't get to the 'bitch bolt.'
peeling back the wheel well wall was easy and it was simple enough to get to the first 10mm bolt from the chassis.
suprisingly, there was no bolt connecting the j-pipe to the resonator. looked like it was snapped or fitted into the resonator. you'll see it in figure A in the directions. i guess they changed the design for the 07s?
but after that, we couldn't reach in to get the other bolt. we could actually feel it by sliding our arm up underneath the bumper, and even see it through one of the holes, but not enough leverage to loosen it.
i guess the only other option is to take off the bumper. i was just worried that once we put it back on, it won't look exactly the same. unless someone has any insight as to how to get to the bolt. maybe i'll try again next weekend.

we had a ratcheting wrench. i guess i can try removing that underbody tray, but even then, based on what i remember, it doesn't seem easy to get to.
is there a pic of that tray you're referring to around the forum or in the service manual?

You dont even have to totally remove it, just one side!

ok, so say if i were to remove the side of the bumper that i need access to....how far along do i need to remove the bolts/clips to expose the resonator? 1/2 way (around the acura emblem)? 3/4 of the way? 1/3 of the way? and i can pull it back without ruining the bumper?
just curious. maybe i will just take the damn thing off.

cool, thanks.
i think i have a grease pen lying around. haha. maybe i'll mark up the bottom just to make sure i know where everything goes. we almost had an extra clip when putting everything back together, but found where it belonged.
