Topspeed header..Which size double braided flex pipe?

does anyone know the size of the double braided flex pipe for the Stock Topspeed header? I did a search and couldn't find this info. I know JTSO makes one, but wasn't sure if this was for the stock Topspeed or not. Anyone know?

possibly trying to avoid a rattle... ?

anyway this thread by jlukja should help

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...672#post794672

"The fix: I got in touch with the seller and he shipped me a replacement flex pipe (2-inch inside diameter, 6-inches long). I found a local muffler shop that also specializes in custom exhaust systems and for $95 they cut out the old flex pipe and properly aligned the header and welded in the new flex pipe. Problem solved, noise gone, jlukja very happy . On the old flex pipe you can easily see a crack in the inside bellows. The crack went practically half the circumference of the pipe. You can tell that as throttle was applied and the engine rotated slightly the movement of the engine would cause the flex pipe to flex upward, thus opening the crack. I’ll post pics once I get my computer working at home."

Isnt the topspeed a knock off of the DC header?
and isnt the DC header massive fail? Unless you take the time to put a new flex pipe in?

I don't consider as a massive fail, but it's fail anyways... lol

Comptech does crack too in hairlines, my friend just got it fixed and it's ugly...

Go to my DC fix thread, and see what I use, have pictures too.

^^ Good link. You want a flexpipe that is 2" diameter. The length of the flex area on the DC is 6", I'm not sure about the Topspeed

Why would you even bring back a 5 month old topic just to say you agree with something? You aren't even constructive.
A bit more on topic for any new members that might read this and get the impression that Topspeed headers aren't good: DC headers, and the Topspeed (which is just a replica of DC, but made from SS), aren't all that bad. The only issue they have is a cracking flex pipe, which can be easily fixed, and even with the fix it still costs less than the CT header. The CT header is known for having a bad rattle, which can be fixed, and the fix is cheaper than the DC fix, but it is more work than the DC fix.

Anyways, didn't mean to be a punk or anything

BTW, why do we have those inapropriate smileys anyways ???

He said you are spamming, not flaming. You bumped up a 5 month old thread just to agree (with an emote, you didn't even use words) on something that wasn't even really related to the topic. All you did was agree with someone that mocked the OP. If you are going to resurrect a 5 month old topic, you should have something that is important to say.

What I'm saying is you are posting too many bs, which includes the report post of this thread. Do you even think before posting?

This forum has a lot of good information that people find useful, but no one appreciates a good thread being cluttered by useless bs.

My recommendation for you is to sit back and enjoy the forum through plenty of reading of the available threads and info. If you have a legitimate question and no answer to be found after searching, then feel free to ask your question. There's no need to draw negative attention to yourself by posting random comments, which you seem to be doing.

I know you are new here but probably not new to internet forums. Therefore, I ask you to excercise some forum etiquette when posting.

If you feel the urge to post something but it's off topic, then visit our "Off Topic" forum.
