Time required to.......

Install a couple of things:

Flywheel and clutch assembly removal/install
Coilover suspension front and rear removal/install

Can anyone give me an indication as to the likely time a competent technician should be able to do both those jobs?
Local dealer has suggested 5 hours for the former and 3 for removing and installing the latter.
5 hours (with the explanation of dropping the engine) seems awfully long.
Similarly 3 hours seems a bit long to swap the suspension - alignment will be extra as well!

DIY is out since I've not the equipment to do it, so a garage will be employed to do it - if/when I can afford to do it.
I'll be making a few more enquiries, but thought I'd see what you guys say.

Cheers

I think that sounds fairly reasonable. DIY, it took me and Xizor and the service manual longer than that to do my suspension swap.

I've read of 12 hours of labor charged for a tranny change too. I'm an automatic, not a manual, but if someone quoted me 5 for that job I'd have no problem writing the check. That's also one thing I wouldn't DIY.
