Momo has no quality at all, waste of money IMO.

Yea that part of it sux ass! That was holding me back on buying it but hopefully itll be ok with it on there hehe. Kind of a dumb thing to have engraved on there. I wonder how many sales theyve lost out on as a result of the engravement on there. Probably quite a few

Yeah, I could have done without that, but (in my opinion, anyway) it doesn't really detract from the look. I really don't notice it at all, and neither does anyone who sits in the car with me. I like the look a lot more than the stock knob -- just odd that it's gold and the whole rest of the interior is silvers, greys, and blacks. (Well, I guess there is the tan interior...)

the skunk2 one looks nearly identical to the JDM DC5R Honda knob

do you have links to some pics?

this would be a cheap fix to some who feel the mt throws are a little too long...

The T1R is kind of like the Voodoo knob which sinks in deeper on the shift lever. It shortens the throw while increases shifting effort due to less leverage. The short shift kit for the TSX does not shorten the actual height. Instead, it lengthens the bottom to reduce the shift throw without changing the shifting effort.

Why do you say that?

<---- Has never seen or used a MOMO shift knob.

I'm leaning towards the skunk2 right now. Like the fact that it threads right on, the look and love that its heavier.

Its interesting that he says they have no quality. Alot of those knobs are going for $80+ on ebay. I'm not doubting him, but I'd like to hear other opinions on this.

I had the momo competition before on my old MX-3.

I had a few other ones...but the momo competition was the best grip for me. It's pretty heavy.

Got damn hot in the summer though.

That looks great! I have the JDM Honda Euro R all silver knob in my 06. It was only around $60 on ebay from an importer. It looks very similar to yours with the red engraving on top, but is basically the same shape as the TSX OEM knob. I would post pics, but everyones cars are so clean inside! Mine is a mess as I work in it all day long...Maybe I will clean it up and post some pics.

Well, thanks to peter_bigblock, I went ahead and ordered the Skunk2 knob as well. I wanted a heavier knob and I just love the color. Looks like the next best thing to an OEM or S2K knob and definently cheaper.

Only problem is they're back ordered so it may be a few weeks.

Thanks Peter

The skunk2 is 2.4mm thinner than the stock but it's the heaviest of them all. However, I still like Dan's much better.

Yeah, I got them all. The skunk2 is heavy and cold. It feels much smaller when comparing with the Momo. The Momo feels the best in my hand due to the larger size and leather wrap.

Btw, the Momo might seem taller in the pic, but the actual mounting height is about the same as the other knobs. the bottom part is just the ring covering the set screws.

I think that we're truly blessed to be given such a great OEM knob. It's really beautiful, feels great and matches the interior perfectly.

it's actually a pretty common practice, a lot of s2000 owners use knob covers b/c the original s2000 came w/ an all metal knob. doesn't make it any less :ghey: though

You want to protect that finish. You can't be polishing your knob all the time... people might look at you funny.

I only got it like a few days ago. I have this condition that I buy stuffs just to look at them and take pictures, then sell them. Everyone please take advantage of my illness.

I might just use the stocker for awhile.

Mugen 6Mt Shift Knob - installed

Mugen shift knob pics:

Comparison shot of OEM & Mugen knob

It is also a little wider than the OEM knob, here is another comparison shot.

With the Mugen locking nut it sits at stock height but I think it feels higher, because it's a bigger knob. (Red arrow points at Mugen locking nut).

Here are some other shots of the Mugen knob installed.

It is also lighter than the OEM weighing in at approx: .25 grams

The lock nut does make it look kinda tall. Can you not use the lock nut and just crank it down or use the stock nut?
