Stainless headers vs Ceramic

I had a bad experience with a DC ceramic header on my old Integra GSR. Ever since then I've been wary of ceramic headers, preferring stainless.
Anyone know if there are stainless headers available yet or would any ceramic headers owners care to comment on their experiences so far?

I've had other friends get cracks in their ceramic headers due to heat stress. I've always personally preferred stainless. Then again there have ben CLS guys on our forum that had cracks on their OBX headers and those were stainless. However, I've yet to hear about a single one of our guys who hasn't been pleased 100% with their Comptech headers. I had them on my CLS and they ran great and I had no issues whtasoever.

It's dependent on the quality of work more than anything else. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

it may just be the quality of the DC headers. The ones for the TSX are terrible, so it might be a trend.

to just comment on this, I had DC Sports Ceramic headers in my old 1.6EL for about 4 yrs, and have never had a problem w/ them...solid gains throughout the rpm band and great sound, for a decent price...

then again, could be just the design of the headers for the K24? or the quality has gone down since i bought mine? i really don't know. But just relating my personal experience w/ the DC headers.

in the long run, stainless header is the way to go, it will last longer and stay in better shape
on the other hand, ceramic header is more efficient in dissipating heat and thus lower engine temperature, but not that much by itself though
BUT...several people here have had problems with TSX DC Sports Ceramic Headers, and i am one of them, my header was broken not long after i got it, although i rewelded it and it's all good now, i still feel like changing it once better ones are out, hopefully TODA will make some good toys for our cars
